أعلن نادي مانشستر سيتي، اليوم (الأربعاء)، غياب لاعبه المصري عمر مرموش عن مواجهة مانشستر يونايتد المقررة يوم الأحد القادم، ضمن منافسات الجولة الرابعة من مسابقة الدوري الإنجليزي (بريميرليغ).
وتعرّض مرموش لإصابة في الركبة خلال مشاركته مع منتخب مصر أمام بوركينا فاسو، مساء الثلاثاء، في تصفيات كأس العالم 2026، حيث اضطر لمغادرة الملعب بعد مرور 8 دقائق فقط على بداية المباراة.
أصيب مع منتخب مصر
وقال النادي الإنجليزي في بيان عبر موقعه الإلكتروني: «أُصيب عمر مرموش في الركبة أثناء مشاركته مع منتخب مصر، وأظهرت الفحوصات الأولية التي أجريت له في مصر أنه لن يكون جاهزاً للمشاركة في ديربي مانشستر يوم الأحد».
بدء برنامج تأهيل
وأضاف البيان: «سيعود مرموش إلى مانشستر لإجراء المزيد من الفحوص الطبية، تمهيداً لبدء برنامج التأهيل».
«فايروس الإصابات» يضرب مانشستر سيتي
وتُعد إصابة مرموش الثالثة التي تضرب صفوف مانشستر سيتي خلال أيام قليلة، بعد تعرض كل من ريان شرقي وجون ستونز للإصابة.
ويحتل مانشستر يونايتد المركز التاسع في جدول الترتيب برصيد 4 نقاط، بينما يأتي مانشستر سيتي في المركز الثالث عشر برصيد 3 نقاط، قبل لقاء الديربي.
Manchester City announced today (Wednesday) the absence of their Egyptian player Omar Marmoush from the upcoming match against Manchester United scheduled for next Sunday, as part of the fourth round of the English Premier League.
Marmoush sustained a knee injury while playing for the Egyptian national team against Burkina Faso on Tuesday evening during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, where he was forced to leave the field just 8 minutes after the match began.

The English club stated in a statement on its website: "Omar Marmoush injured his knee while participating with the Egyptian national team, and initial examinations conducted in Egypt showed that he will not be ready to participate in the Manchester derby on Sunday."
Starting a rehabilitation program
The statement added: "Marmoush will return to Manchester for further medical examinations, in preparation for starting a rehabilitation program."
The "injury virus" strikes Manchester City
Marmoush's injury is the third to hit Manchester City within a few days, following injuries to both Ryan Cherki and John Stones.
Manchester United is currently in ninth place in the standings with 4 points, while Manchester City is in thirteenth place with 3 points, ahead of the derby match.
