في بلغاريا فرض المنتخب الإسباني سيطرته مبكراً على اللقاء، وافتتح ميكيل أويارزابال التسجيل مبكراً إذ تلقى تمريرة من مارتن زوبيميندي ليخترق أويارزابال الدفاع البلغاري ويُسكن الكرة في الشباك كهدف أول لإسبانيا (د: 5)، ورغم محاولة المنتخب البلغاري للعودة إلا إن منتخب إسبانيا تمكن من مضاعفة النتيجة بعد تسديدة قوية من مارك كوكوريلا لتسكن كهدفٍ ثانٍ (د: 30)، وبعد مرور ثماني دقائق استطاع ميكيل ميرينو من إحراز الهدف الثالث (د:38)، واستمرت النتيجة كما هي عليه في الشوط الثاني لينتهي اللقاء بفوز إسبانيا بثلاثة أهداف دون مقابل.
وفي جورجيا، انتصر منتخب تركيا على مضيفه منتخب جورجيا بثلاثة أهداف لهدفين، وشهد اللقاء تقدم تركيا أولاً بثلاثة أهداف نظيفة جاءت عن طريق كل من: مرت مولدور (د: 3)، كريم أكتوركوغولو (هدفين 41، 52)، قبل أن يقلص منتخب جورجيا النتيجة بإحرازه للهدف الأول عن طريق زوريكو دافيتاشفيلي (د: 63)، ومن ثم جاء الهدف الثاني في الوقت بدل الضائع عن طريق كفاراتسخيليا (د: 90+8)، وتلقى لاعب تركيا البديل باريش يلماز بطاقة حمراء بعد مشاركته في اللقاء بخمس دقائق (د: 71)، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز تركيا بثلاثة أهداف لهدفين.
وبهاتين النتيجتين يتصدر منتخب إسبانيا منتخبات المجموعة الخامسة برصيد 3 نقاط متساوياً مع المنتخب التركي ومتفوقاً عليه بفارق الأهداف، وسيلتقي المنتخبان يوم الأحد القادم.

The Spanish national team triumphed over their hosts, the Bulgarian national team, with a score of three goals to none, while the Turkish national team defeated their hosts, Georgia, with three goals to two. This was part of the first round of matches in Group E of the European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
