أعلن نادي مانشستر سيتي، اليوم (الخميس)، رحيل مديره الرياضي تشيكي بيغريستين، بعد 13 عاماً، قضاها داخل جدران النادي السماوي.
وكان بيغريستين أعلن في أكتوبر 2024 أنه سيغادر السيتي، ليتولى هعجو فيانا المنصب بدوام كامل هذا الصيف، وقد حان الوقت الآن لخروجه من النادي رسمياً، بحسب البيان الصادر.
وسيتم الاحتفال بإنجازاته الكبيرة خلال فترة وجوده في ملعب الاتحاد من خلال عدد من الفعاليات تكريماً له في ديربي مانشستر.
يذكر أن بيغريستين انضم إلى مانشستر سيتي عام 2012، وكان له دور رئيسي في فترة حافلة بالألقاب، حيث حقق السماوي 21 لقباً خلال فترة وجوده، بما في ذلك الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز سبع مرات، وكأس الاتحاد الإنجليزي مرتين، ودوري أبطال أوروبا مرة واحدة، وكأس العالم للأندية مرة واحدة، وكأس السوبر الأوروبي مرة واحدة.
Manchester City announced today (Thursday) the departure of its sporting director, Txiki Begiristain, after 13 years spent within the walls of the Sky Blues.
Begiristain had announced in October 2024 that he would leave City, with Haji Viana taking over the position full-time this summer, and now the time has come for his official exit from the club, according to the statement released.
His significant achievements during his time at the Etihad Stadium will be celebrated through a number of events in his honor at the Manchester Derby.
It is worth noting that Begiristain joined Manchester City in 2012 and played a key role in a period filled with trophies, as the Sky Blues won 21 titles during his tenure, including the Premier League seven times, the FA Cup twice, the UEFA Champions League once, the FIFA Club World Cup once, and the UEFA Super Cup once.
