أعلن الاتحاد الفرنسي لكرة القدم بقاء فريق ليون ضمن أندية الدرجة الأولى في بطولة فرنسا لكرة القدم، بعد قبول الاستئناف الذي تقدم به لإبطال قرار من هيئة الرقابة المالية بإسقاطه إلى الدرجة الثانية.
ونجحت رئيسة النادي الجديدة ميشيل كانغ، والمدير العام ميكايل غيرليغ، في إقناع هيئة الرقابة بأن النادي يملك الإمكانات المادية اللازمة لخوض موسم 2025-2026.
وكانت هيئة الرقابة المالية في فرنسا قد اتخذت قراراً بإسقاط فريق ليون إلى الدرجة الثانية في 24 يونيو الماضي، بعد أن فشل النادي في إقناع الهيئة برفع الإجراءات التقييدية التي فرضتها في نوفمبر، بما في ذلك الهبوط الإداري الاحترازي إلى دوري الدرجة الثانية الفرنسي.

The French Football Federation announced that Lyon will remain among the first division clubs in the French football championship, after accepting the appeal submitted to overturn a decision by the financial regulatory body to demote it to the second division.
The new club president, Michèle Kang, and the general director, Mickaël Guérlig, succeeded in convincing the regulatory body that the club has the necessary financial resources to compete in the 2025-2026 season.
The financial regulatory body in France had decided to demote Lyon to the second division on June 24, after the club failed to convince the body to lift the restrictive measures imposed in November, including the precautionary administrative demotion to the French second division.
