أعلن نادي بوتافوغو البرازيلي، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، تعيين دافيد أنشيلوتي مدربا للفريق الأول لكرة القدم.
وأوضح النادي في بيان عبر موقعه الإلكتروني أن نجل كارلو أنشيلوتي، المدرب الحالي للمنتخب البرازيلي، سيقود الفريق بعقد يمتد حتى نهاية الموسم القادم.
وأضاف أن تعيين دافيد أنشيلوتي يُعد خطوة إستراتيجية أخرى في تعزيز المشروع الرياضي لنادي بوتافوغو، الذي يعتمد على الابتكار والطموح والريادة الدولية.
ويعاون دافيد أنشيلوتي، البالغ من العمر 35 عاما، في تدريب بوتافوغو كل من الإسباني لويس تيفينيت، والبريطاني أندرو مانجان، إضافة إلى المعد البدني الإيطالي لوكا غيرا.
وكان نادي بوتافوغو قد أقال مدربه ريناتو بايفا الأسبوع الماضي، عقب وداع الفريق بطولة كأس العالم للأندية من الدور ثمن النهائي على يد مواطنه بالميراس.
The Brazilian club Botafogo announced today (Tuesday) the appointment of David Ancelotti as the head coach of the first football team.
The club clarified in a statement on its website that the son of Carlo Ancelotti, the current coach of the Brazilian national team, will lead the team under a contract that extends until the end of the next season.
It added that the appointment of David Ancelotti is another strategic step in enhancing the sports project of Botafogo, which relies on innovation, ambition, and international leadership.
David Ancelotti, who is 35 years old, will be assisted in coaching Botafogo by the Spanish Luis Tevenet, the British Andrew Mangan, in addition to the Italian fitness coach Luca Gera.
Botafogo had dismissed its coach Renato Paiva last week, following the team's exit from the Club World Cup in the Round of 16 at the hands of fellow Brazilian team Palmeiras.
