توج المنتخب الإنجليزي بلقب بطولة كأس أمم أوروبا للشباب تحت 21 عامًا للمرة الرابعة في تاريخه بعدما تغلب على نظيره الألماني بنتيجة (2 – 3) في المباراة النهائية التي أقيمت ضمن منافسات البطولة في سلوفاكيا.
وحسم التعادل بهدفين لمثلهما بالوقت الأصلي للمباراة ليتم اللجوء إلى وقت إضافي، حسم خلاله منتخب إنجلترا الفوز بهدف في الدقيقة (92)، بعد تقدمه بهدفين عن طريق هارفي إليوت، وأوماري هوتشينسون في الدقيقتين (5 و25)، قبل أن يدرك نيلسون فيبر وبول نيبل التعادل لمنتخب ألمانيا في الدقيقتين (45 و61).
ويتصدر منتخبا إسبانيا وإيطاليا قائمة المنتخبات الأكثر تتويجًا باللقب القاري برصيد خمسة ألقاب لكل منهما، فيما يحل منتخب إنجلترا المركز الثالث برصيد أربعة ألقاب حصدها في أعوام 1982 و1984 و2023 و2025.
في المقابل توقف رصيد منتخب ألمانيا عند ثلاثة ألقاب جمعها في أعوام 2009 و2017 و2021.
