أعلن النادي الأهلي المصري، اليوم (الخميس)، إنهاء تعاقده مع المدرب الدنماركي ييس توروب بعد موسم مخيب للآمال على المستويين المحلي والقاري.
بيان الأهلي
وقال النادي في بيان عبر موقعه الإلكتروني: «أنهى النادي الأهلي علاقته التعاقدية بشكل نهائي مع المدرب الدنماركي ييس توروب وجهازه المعاون، وذلك بالتراضي، خلال الجلسة التي عقدها نائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة ياسين منصور، وعضو المجلس سيد عبد الحفيظ، المفوضان بملف الكرة، مع المدير الفني ووكيله فراس علي، بحضور المستشار القانوني لقطاع الكرة الدكتور عبد الله شحاتة».
وأضاف البيان: «قام توروب بالتوقيع على مخالصة مالية بعد الحصول على مستحقاته، وفقاً لبنود عقده الذي ينتهي في 30 يونيو 2026، ووجّه النادي الشكر للمدير الفني ومعاونيه على الفترة التي تولوا خلالها المسؤولية، وبذلوا أقصى ما لديهم لتحقيق أفضل النتائج، متمنياً لهم التوفيق في خطواتهم المقبلة».
وعبّر ييس توروب وجهازه المعاون عن شكرهم وتقديرهم لمجلس إدارة النادي وجماهير الأهلي واللاعبين على تعاونهم معهم، في إطار حرصهم على الحفاظ على العلاقة الطيبة مع كافة عناصر المنظومة التي عملوا معها.
غربلة في الأهلي
كما أعلن الأهلي رحيل المدرب المساعد عادل مصطفى، ووجّه الشكر إلى مدير الكرة وليد صلاح الدين، مع تعيين نجم النادي السابق وائل جمعة خلفاً له، وذلك ضمن سلسلة من التغييرات التي طالت قطاع كرة القدم بالنادي على مختلف المستويات.
موسم كارثي
وعاش الأهلي موسماً كارثياً على مستوى النتائج، إذ احتل المركز الثالث في جدول ترتيب الدوري المصري برصيد 53 نقطة، كما ودّع بطولتي كأس الرابطة وكأس مصر مبكراً، إلى جانب الخروج من دوري أبطال أفريقيا من الدور ربع النهائي على يد الترجي التونسي.
The Egyptian Al Ahly Club announced today (Thursday) the termination of its contract with Danish coach Jess Thorup after a disappointing season at both the local and continental levels.
Al Ahly Statement
The club stated in a statement on its website: "Al Ahly has officially ended its contractual relationship with Danish coach Jess Thorup and his coaching staff, by mutual consent, during a meeting held by the Vice Chairman of the Board, Yassin Mansour, and Board Member Sayed Abdel Hafiz, who are responsible for football matters, with the head coach and his agent Firas Ali, in the presence of the legal advisor for the football sector, Dr. Abdullah Shahat."
The statement added: "Thorup signed a financial settlement after receiving his dues, according to the terms of his contract which ends on June 30, 2026. The club thanked the head coach and his assistants for the period they were in charge and for their utmost efforts to achieve the best results, wishing them success in their future endeavors."
Jess Thorup and his coaching staff expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the club's Board of Directors, Al Ahly fans, and the players for their cooperation, as part of their commitment to maintaining good relations with all elements of the system they worked with.
Restructuring at Al Ahly
Al Ahly also announced the departure of assistant coach Adel Mustafa and thanked the Director of Football Walid Salah El Din, appointing former club star Wael Gomaa as his replacement, as part of a series of changes affecting the football sector of the club at various levels.
Disastrous Season
Al Ahly experienced a disastrous season in terms of results, finishing third in the Egyptian Premier League table with 53 points. They also exited the League Cup and Egypt Cup early, in addition to being eliminated from the CAF Champions League in the quarter-finals by Tunisian club Esperance.
