أعلن تحالف دعم الشرعية في اليمن اليوم (الإثنين)، اتخاذ قواته الإجراءات العملياتية كافة لحماية السفن البحرية في باب المندب.
وصرح المتحدث باسم قوات التحالف اللواء الركن تركي المالكي بأن «قيادة القوات المشتركة للتحالف تتخذ وتنفذ جميع الإجراءات العملياتية الحازمة والصارمة، بما يتوافق مع القانون الدولي واتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لقانون البحار لعام 1982، لحماية سفننا البحرية بمضيق باب المندب». وأوضح اللواء المالكي أن الادعاءات بشأن إغلاق الموانئ والمطارات اليمنية تأتي في سياق المغالطات والتصعيد الحوثي ضد الحكومة اليمنية ودول جوار اليمن، وأن السردية الحوثية بشأن الحصار مضللة، إذ تم دخول أكثر من 300 سفينة تجارية إلى موانئ الحديدة، والصليف، ورأس عيسى خلال النصف الأول من 2026، تحمل مختلف المواد الغذائية والبضائع والوقود ومواد البناء، وأن مليشيا الحوثي هي من تسببت في إغلاق مطار صنعاء الدولي وتدمير طائرات شركة الخطوط اليمنية، وكذلك هي من رفضت كل المبادرات لاستئناف الرحلات من وإلى المطار.
وأكد اللواء المالكي أن قيادة القوات المشتركة للتحالف شرعت في تنفيذ إجراءات حماية سفن التحالف عبر مضيق باب المندب، وسيتم الرد على التهديدات الحوثية للسفن العابرة بكل حزم وقوة، باعتبار هذه التهديدات مخالفة صريحة للقانون الدولي وتنطوي تحت أعمال القرصنة البحرية.
The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced today (Monday) that its forces have taken all operational measures to protect maritime vessels in the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
The spokesman for the coalition forces, Major General Turki al-Maliki, stated that "the leadership of the coalition's joint forces is taking and implementing all decisive and strict operational measures, in accordance with international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 1982, to protect our maritime vessels in the Bab al-Mandab Strait." Major General al-Maliki clarified that the claims regarding the closure of Yemeni ports and airports come in the context of Houthi exaggerations and escalation against the Yemeni government and neighboring countries, and that the Houthi narrative regarding the blockade is misleading, as more than 300 commercial ships entered the ports of Hudaydah, Salif, and Ras Issa during the first half of 2026, carrying various foodstuffs, goods, fuel, and construction materials. He pointed out that the Houthi militia is responsible for the closure of Sana'a International Airport and the destruction of Yemeni Airlines' aircraft, and it is also the one that rejected all initiatives to resume flights to and from the airport.
Major General al-Maliki confirmed that the leadership of the coalition's joint forces has begun implementing measures to protect coalition vessels through the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and that threats from the Houthis to passing ships will be met with firmness and strength, as these threats constitute a clear violation of international law and fall under acts of maritime piracy.
