أعرب مدرب منتخب الجزائر الرديف، مجيد بوقرة، عن خيبة أمله الكبيرة عقب وداع «الخضر» بطولة كأس العرب 2025 المقامة في قطر، بعد الخسارة أمام منتخب الإمارات بركلات الترجيح في الدور ربع النهائي.
وداع مؤلم بركلات الترجيح
وخسر المنتخب الجزائري بركلات الجزاء الترجيحية بنتيجة (7-6)، بعد انتهاء الوقتين الأصلي والإضافي بالتعادل بهدف لمثله، في المباراة التي أُقيمت على ملعب «البيت» مساء أمس (الجمعة).
ظروف صعبة وإصابات مؤثرة
وقال بوقرة في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة «النهار» الجزائرية: «التغييرات التي قمت بها كانت محدودة بسبب الإصابات، كنا أول من سجل في اللقاء، وهذا دليل على أننا كنا نسير في الطريق الصحيح منذ البداية».
ركلات الحظ تحسم المصير
وأضاف: «كل من نفذ ركلات الجزاء كان ذلك باختياري وبالتشاور مع اللاعبين، ركلات الترجيح تبقى مسألة حظ، وكنا ضحية التعب الكبير، للأسف الأمور لم تسر في صالحنا».
اعتذار للجماهير الجزائرية
وتابع بوقرة: «نادم على شيء واحد فقط، وهو أننا خيبنا آمال الشعب الجزائري ولم نتمكن من إسعاده،لكنني أتمنى أن يسعدنا المنتخب الأول في بطولة أمم أفريقيا».
نهاية المشوار مع «الخضر»
وفي ختام حديثه، أعلن مجيد بوقرة رسمياً نهاية رحلته مع المنتخب الجزائري، مستبعداً في الوقت ذاته فكرة انضمامه إلى الجهاز الفني للمنتخب الأول كمساعد للمدرب فلاديمير بيتكوفيتش.

The Algerian team lost in the penalty shootout with a score of (7-6), after the original and extra time ended in a 1-1 draw, in the match held at the "Al Bayt" Stadium last night (Friday).

Bougherra said in statements reported by the Algerian newspaper "An-Nahar": "The changes I made were limited due to injuries; we were the first to score in the match, which is evidence that we were on the right track from the beginning."
Luck Decides the Fate
He added: "Everyone who took the penalties was chosen by me in consultation with the players; penalty shootouts remain a matter of luck, and we were victims of great fatigue; unfortunately, things did not go in our favor."
Apology to Algerian Fans
Bougherra continued: "I regret only one thing, which is that we disappointed the Algerian people and could not make them happy, but I hope that the senior national team will bring us joy in the Africa Cup of Nations."
End of the Journey with the "Greens"
In conclusion, Majid Bougherra officially announced the end of his journey with the Algerian national team, while at the same time ruling out the idea of joining the coaching staff of the senior team as an assistant to coach Vladimir Petkovic.
