كاد الأهلي يخطف فوزاً قاتلاً بعد احتساب ركلة جزاء لصالحه في الدقيقة 90+2، لكن أحمد سيد «زيزو» سددها في القائم الأيسر لحارس المصري.
استحواذ بلا هدف
واستحوذ الأهلي على مجريات المباراة بنسبة 65% وسدد 22 تسديدة، لكنه أهدر العديد من الفرص للتسجيل، بينما اكتفى المصري بتسديدة واحدة طوال اللقاء.
وحصل حارس مرمى المصري، محمود حمدي، على جائزة أفضل لاعب في المباراة بعد أن نجح في الحفاظ على نظافة شباكه رغم الضغط المستمر من لاعبي الأهلي، وحرمت تصدياته المؤثرة هجوم «الأحمر» من تسجيل الأهداف.
بهذه النتيجة، رفع الأهلي رصيده إلى 23 نقطة في المركز الثاني بجدول ترتيب الدوري المصري، متأخراً بثلاث نقاط عن سيراميكا كليوباترا متصدر الترتيب، بينما وصل المصري إلى النقطة 20 في المركز الخامس.

Al Masry's goalkeeper, Mahmoud Hamdy, was awarded the Man of the Match after successfully keeping a clean sheet despite the continuous pressure from Al Ahly's players, and his crucial saves denied the "Red" attack from scoring.
With this result, Al Ahly raised its points to 23, sitting in second place in the Egyptian Premier League table, three points behind the leaders Ceramica Cleopatra, while Al Masry reached 20 points in fifth place.
