نفى المتحدث باسم وزارة الشباب والرياضة المصرية محمد الشاذلي، ما تردد حول استقالة رئيس نادي الزمالك حسين لبيب من منصبه.
وقال لـ "عكاظ" لم تحدث أي استقالة».
وترددت أنباء خلال الساعات الماضية حول تقدّم رئيس الزمالك باستقالته إلى وزير الشباب والرياضة الدكتور أشرف صبحي، إلا أنه رفضها، مطالباً بتقديمها رسمياً إلى مجلس إدارة النادي ليبتّ فيها بالقبول أو الرفض، ثم تُرفع بعد ذلك إلى الجهة الإدارية المختصة وفق المواعيد القانونية المعمول بها.
أزمة مالية
ويواجه نادي الزمالك أزمة مالية حادة، عقب قرار وزارة الإسكان المصرية بسحب أرض النادي بمدينة السادس من أكتوبر، والتي كانت مخصصة لإنشاء فرع ثانٍ للقلعة البيضاء، بدعوى عدم الجدية في التنفيذ.
ويعاني مجلس الإدارة صعوبة كبيرة في توفير المستحقات المالية الخاصة بفريق كرة القدم، ما انعكس سلباً على أداء اللاعبين في الفترة الأخيرة، حيث تراجع الفريق من الصدارة إلى المركز الخامس برصيد 18 نقطة.

Rumors circulated in recent hours about the Zamalek President submitting his resignation to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, but he rejected it, demanding that it be submitted officially to the club's board of directors to decide on its acceptance or rejection, and then it would be raised to the relevant administrative authority according to the applicable legal deadlines.
Financial Crisis
Zamalek Club is facing a severe financial crisis following the Egyptian Ministry of Housing's decision to withdraw the club's land in the Sixth of October City, which was allocated for the establishment of a second branch of the White Castle, citing a lack of seriousness in execution.
The board of directors is experiencing significant difficulties in providing the financial entitlements for the football team, which has negatively impacted the players' performance recently, as the team has dropped from first place to fifth with 18 points.
