تستضيف سلطنة عمان فعاليات أكبر بطولات صيد الأسماك الدولية في الخليج في جبل سيفة، وذلك بداية من اليوم (الأربعاء) وعلى مدار أربعة أيام.
وتشهد بطولة «جبل سيفة الدولية لصيد الأسماك» مشاركة عشر دول، منها مشاركة عربية وخليجية للسعودية والكويت ومصر وسلطنة عمان، ومشاركة أوروبية لكل من سويسرا وإيطاليا وبريطانيا بجانب مشاركة خاصة لكل من تركيا وإيران وجنوب أفريقيا.
الفرق المشاركة
ويبلغ العدد الإجمالي للفرق المشاركة في النسخة الثانية من البطولة 23 فريقاً، من بينها أربع فرق سعودية، هي: «Sea Hunters» و«Big Sami» و«Reel Saudis 1» و«Reel Saudis 2».
كما تشارك مصر بستة فرق، هي: «Bimini El Gouna» و«Da Hunter» و«Sporting Club» و«ElNouby Adrenalin Anglers» و«Sos Team» و«Buruq».
وتضم قائمة المشاركين أيضاً فريقين من سلطنة عُمان، هما: «Seafood Street Food» و«Oman»، إضافة إلى فريقين من الكويت هما: «Nomadic» و«Reel Addict».
أكبر بطولة عالمية
وتحتضن وجهة جبل سيفة، أكبر بطولة عالمية للصيد من نوعها في الخليج بمشاركة أكثر من 100 صياد محترف من عشر دول يتنافسون على لقب النسخة العمانية الثانية من البطولة المعتمدة دوليا تحت مظلة الاتحاد الدولي لصيد الأسماك «IGFA».
وتمهد بطولة جبل سيفة لنهائيات بطولة كأس العالم لصيد الأسماك، حيث تتأهل الفرق الحائزة على المراكز الثلاثة الأولى تلقائيا للمنافسات العالمية، وتستمر فعاليات البطولة على مدار أربعة أيام متتالية وتختتم مساء السبت 4 أكتوبر بحفل الجوائز الرسمية في مارينا جبل سيفة بحضور شخصيات عامة بارزة من سلطة عمان.
وتأتي البطولة من تنظيم عضو الاتحاد الدولي لصيد الأسماك أحمد ميتكيس، الذي يتولى أيضا مهمة تنظيم بطولة كأس العالم لصيد الأسماك التي تحتضنها مصر لأول مرة عام 2028 بمشاركة 25 دولة برعاية الاتحاد المصري لصيد الأسماك.
The Sultanate of Oman is hosting the largest international fishing tournament in the Gulf at Jebel Sifah, starting today (Wednesday) and continuing for four days.
The "Jebel Sifah International Fishing Tournament" features the participation of ten countries, including Arab and Gulf participation from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, and Oman, as well as European participation from Switzerland, Italy, and Britain, alongside special participation from Turkey, Iran, and South Africa.
Participating Teams
The total number of teams participating in the second edition of the tournament is 23, including four Saudi teams: "Sea Hunters," "Big Sami," "Reel Saudis 1," and "Reel Saudis 2."
Egypt is also participating with six teams: "Bimini El Gouna," "Da Hunter," "Sporting Club," "ElNouby Adrenalin Anglers," "Sos Team," and "Buruq."
The list of participants also includes two teams from the Sultanate of Oman: "Seafood Street Food" and "Oman," in addition to two teams from Kuwait: "Nomadic" and "Reel Addict."
Largest Global Tournament
The Jebel Sifah destination hosts the largest global fishing tournament of its kind in the Gulf, with the participation of more than 100 professional anglers from ten countries competing for the title of the second Omani edition of the tournament, which is internationally recognized under the umbrella of the International Game Fish Association (IGFA).
The Jebel Sifah tournament paves the way for the finals of the World Fishing Cup, where the teams finishing in the top three positions automatically qualify for the global competitions. The tournament activities will continue for four consecutive days and will conclude on the evening of Saturday, October 4, with an official awards ceremony at the Jebel Sifah Marina, attended by prominent public figures from Oman.
The tournament is organized by Ahmed Metkis, a member of the International Game Fish Association, who is also responsible for organizing the World Fishing Cup, which will be held in Egypt for the first time in 2028 with the participation of 25 countries, under the auspices of the Egyptian Fishing Federation.
