أكد إمام عاشور، هداف الدوري المصري الممتاز والنجم المتألق في صفوف الأهلي، أنه جاهز لرفع راية التحدي في مونديال الأندية 2025، معبراً عن طموحه الكبير في تقديم أداء يليق باسم المارد الأحمر.
ونفى عاشور، خلال حوار تلفزيوني مع الإعلامي إبراهيم فايق في برنامج «الكورة مع فايق» على قناة «MBC مصر 2»، الأنباء المتداولة حول رغبته في تعديل عقده مع الأهلي بعد الصفقات الجديدة. وقال: «كل ما يقال عن تعديل عقدي غير صحيح، أنا مستمر لموسمين آخرين، ولن أتحدث في ذلك إلا إذا فتحت الإدارة الموضوع».
وشدد عاشور على التزامه الكامل تجاه الأهلي وجماهيره، قائلاً: «الأهلي بيتي، ولن أغضب جماهيره أبداً، وأقدر دعم إدارة النادي لي باستمرار».
وحول مشاركته المرتقبة في كأس العالم للأندية 2025، أعرب هداف الأهلي عن ثقته في قدرة فريقه على منافسة الكبار، مشيداً بالأسطورة ليونيل ميسي لكنه أكد: «الأهلي لديه سمعة عالمية تمكنه من المنافسة بقوة».
وفي سياق آخر، كشف عاشور علاقته الجيدة بأحمد سيد (زيزو)، نجم الزمالك، مؤكداً أنه سيكون إضافة قوية إذا انضم للأهلي، وأثنى على عقليته ودعمه في الفترات الصعبة.
وبخصوص أزمة «الباب الحديدي» عقب مباراة التتويج بالدوري أمام فاركو، أوضح عاشور أنه حاول اصطحاب ابنته من المقصورة، لكن الأمن رفض، قبل أن يتم حل الأمر ودياً. وأكد أن الموقف لم يكن يستدعي التضخيم.
كما تحدث عن أزمته مع حسام حسن، مدرب منتخب مصر، قائلاً: «اعتذرت له أكثر من مرة بسبب سوء تفاهم ناتج عن إصابة طفيفة في الركبة، وأنا ملتزم تماماً بتمثيل منتخب بلادي».
وأشاد عاشور برئيس الأهلي محمود الخطيب، واصفاً إياه بالداعم الأكبر له، وكشف عن نصيحته له بعدم معاداة جماهير الزمالك، والتركيز فقط على الأداء في الملعب.
وختم عاشور حديثه بالإشادة بمدرب الأحمال إسلام جمال، مثمناً دوره الكبير في رفع مستواه البدني، خصوصاً قبل مواجهة صن داونز بنصف نهائي دوري أبطال أفريقيا. وأوضح أن لقطة «البالونة» التي انتشرت أخيراً كانت تصرفاً عفوياً مستوحى من ابنته، مؤكداً أنه يفضل الابتعاد عن وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي للتركيز على مستقبله مع الأهلي.

Ashour denied, during a television interview with journalist Ibrahim Fayek on the program "Kora with Fayek" on "MBC Egypt 2," the circulating news about his desire to modify his contract with Al Ahly after the new signings. He said: "Everything said about modifying my contract is not true; I am committed for two more seasons, and I will only discuss it if the management opens the topic."
Ashour emphasized his full commitment to Al Ahly and its fans, stating: "Al Ahly is my home, and I will never upset its fans, and I appreciate the club's management support for me continuously."
Regarding his anticipated participation in the 2025 Club World Cup, Al Ahly's top scorer expressed his confidence in his team's ability to compete with the big names, praising the legend Lionel Messi but asserting: "Al Ahly has a global reputation that enables it to compete strongly."
In another context, Ashour revealed his good relationship with Ahmed Sayed (Zizo), the star of Zamalek, confirming that he would be a strong addition if he joined Al Ahly, and praised his mentality and support during tough times.
Regarding the "iron door" crisis following the league title match against Farco, Ashour explained that he tried to take his daughter from the VIP area, but security refused, before the matter was resolved amicably. He confirmed that the situation did not warrant exaggeration.
He also spoke about his issue with Hossam Hassan, the coach of the Egyptian national team, saying: "I apologized to him several times due to a misunderstanding resulting from a minor knee injury, and I am fully committed to representing my country."
Ashour praised Al Ahly's president Mahmoud El Khatib, describing him as his biggest supporter, and revealed his advice to him not to antagonize Zamalek fans and to focus solely on performance on the field.
Ashour concluded his talk by praising fitness coach Islam Gamal, appreciating his significant role in improving his physical condition, especially before facing Sundowns in the semi-finals of the African Champions League. He clarified that the "balloon" moment that recently circulated was an impulsive act inspired by his daughter, confirming that he prefers to stay away from social media to focus on his future with Al Ahly.
