The "Yemen Dawn" operation continues with its various military formations pursuing the Houthi militia. Many battle fronts are witnessing intense fighting and airstrikes.
Field sources announced the liberation of new sites that were under Houthi control east of Al-Hazm, the capital of Al-Jawf Governorate.
They confirmed that the First and Third Emergency Brigades managed to liberate the Huwishan mountain range and continued to advance towards the neighboring mountain ranges in the Dhahida area and Bir Al-Maraziq, reaching Al-Hazm, the capital of the governorate.
The Yemeni forces employed new tactics in the battle east of Al-Jawf, by controlling the commanding mountain ranges that open pathways for government forces to deeper areas, cutting supply lines, and bypassing fortifications and defensive trenches in the Al-Labnat camp and open areas.
Sources reported that government forces launched strikes and air raids today (Monday) on Houthi positions in the Al-Aqroud front southeast of the city.
They indicated that the airstrikes came after intense clashes in which the Houthis attempted to advance towards the positions of government forces and the resistance, which launched a counterattack and executed several ambushes, successfully repelling the militia's assault.
It was noted that the western, eastern, and northern fronts of Taiz city are experiencing cautious calm, while the humanitarian situation continues to worsen due to the ongoing siege imposed by the Houthis on the city.
In the Lahij fronts adjacent to Taiz Governorate, battles have not ceased for two days, with ongoing airstrikes on Houthi positions.
According to sources, the Houthis attempted to flank from the customs area after their advance from Heijat Al-Abd and Tor Al-Baha stalled, aiming to control the strategic Mount Munif, which rises 1300 meters above sea level and overlooks the Al-Shamaytin district and areas in the city of Ta'izz, providing a distant view of the temporary capital of the country, Aden.
The Yemeni government forces announced last night the restoration of control over several military sites and commanding heights east of Al-Hazm city in Al-Jawf Governorate in the north of the country following intense battles with the Houthis.
They clarified that they seized weapon and ammunition depots that were in the possession of the Houthis before their retreat from their positions around the Dhahida mountains, noting that the confrontations resulted in the destruction of several vehicles and combat armored vehicles, and the death and injury of dozens of Houthis, with others captured.
Anadolu Agency reported from the field commander in the army in Al-Jawf Governorate, Colonel Rabi' Al-Qurashi, that government forces managed to complete control over the Huwishan mountain range east of Al-Hazm city, the capital of Al-Jawf Governorate. He pointed out that the control came after battles fought by the army forces with the support of warplanes against the Houthis, confirming that the operation is still ongoing.
