أطلقت الشرطة السويدية النار على رجل مسلح خارج القصر الملكي وسط العاصمة ستوكهولم، مساء أمس (الثلاثاء)، بعد تلقي بلاغ عن شخص يتصرف بصورة عدوانية ويحمل سلاحاً، في حادث استدعى انتشاراً أمنياً واسعاً وإغلاق أجزاء من المنطقة المحيطة بالقصر.
وقالت شرطة منطقة ستوكهولم إنها تلقت البلاغ نحو الساعة 6:30 مساءً بالتوقيت المحلي، بشأن رجل مسلح في منطقة «ليونباكن» عند القصر الملكي، قبل أن يطلق عناصر الشرطة النار عليه أثناء التعامل مع الحادث.
وأكدت الشرطة أن الرجل أصيب ونقل بسيارة إسعاف إلى المستشفى، مشيرة إلى أن إصاباته وصفت بالخطرة، لكنها لا تهدد حياته.
انتشار أمني وإغلاق المنطقة
وفرضت قوات الأمن طوقاً حول أجزاء من محيط القصر الملكي، وانتشرت عدة دوريات في المنطقة، فيما بدأت الشرطة مراجعة تسجيلات كاميرات المراقبة والاستماع إلى الشهود لإعادة بناء التسلسل الدقيق للحادث.
وأكدت المتحدثة باسم شرطة ستوكهولم سوزانا رينالدو أن السلطات تعمل على تحديد ملابسات ما حدث، مشيرة إلى عدم وجود خطر على الجمهور.
فتح تحقيق جنائي
وفي تحديث لاحق، أعلنت الشرطة السويدية فتح تحقيق أولي في شبهات تتعلق بـ«التهديد الجسيم لموظف عام»، إضافة إلى مخالفة جسيمة لقانون حيازة السكاكين.
ولم تكشف السلطات حتى الآن هوية الرجل أو دوافعه، كما لم تعلن وجود أي صلة للحادث بعمل إرهابي، فيما تواصل التحقيقات لتحديد ملابسات الواقعة والأحداث التي سبقت إطلاق الشرطة النار عليه.
The Swedish police shot a man armed outside the royal palace in the center of Stockholm yesterday evening (Tuesday), after receiving a report about a person acting aggressively and carrying a weapon, in an incident that necessitated a wide security deployment and the closure of parts of the area surrounding the palace.
The Stockholm police stated that they received the report around 6:30 PM local time, regarding an armed man in the "Lionbacken" area near the royal palace, before police officers shot him while dealing with the incident.
The police confirmed that the man was injured and transported by ambulance to the hospital, noting that his injuries were described as serious, but not life-threatening.
Security Deployment and Area Closure
Security forces imposed a cordon around parts of the royal palace area, and several patrols were deployed in the region, while the police began reviewing surveillance camera footage and interviewing witnesses to reconstruct the precise sequence of events.
Stockholm police spokesperson Susanna Renaldo confirmed that the authorities are working to determine the circumstances of what happened, indicating that there is no danger to the public.
Opening a Criminal Investigation
In a later update, the Swedish police announced the opening of a preliminary investigation into suspicions related to "serious threats against a public official," in addition to a serious violation of the knife possession law.
The authorities have not yet disclosed the identity of the man or his motives, nor have they announced any connection of the incident to terrorist activity, while investigations continue to determine the circumstances of the incident and the events leading up to the police shooting him.
