أعربت وزارة الخارجية البحرينية عن تأييد البحرين الكامل لموقف المملكة العربية السعودية وجهودها، بقيادتها تحالف دعم الشرعية في اليمن، في دعم مجلس القيادة الرئاسي والحكومة اليمنية الشرعية لإنهاء الانقلاب واستعادة الدولة ومؤسساتها، وتخليص اليمن من خطر الإرهاب، والتوصل إلى حل سياسي شامل وفقًا للمرجعيات الثلاث، بما يلبي تطلعات الشعب اليمني الشقيق إلى الأمن والاستقرار.
وأدانت الوزارة واستنكرت بشدة استمرار ميليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية في اعتداءاتها السافرة على السعودية، واستهدافها المدنيين والأعيان المدنية والاقتصادية، وتطاولها على أطهر بقاع الأرض في مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة. وشملت هذه الاعتداءات العاصمة الرياض ومدن أبها وخميس مشيط وجازان ونجران والطائف وينبع، إضافة إلى السفن السعودية في جنوب البحر الأحمر ومضيق باب المندب.
وأكدت الوزارة تضامن البحرين الكامل مع السعودية، وتأييدها لكل ما تتخذه من إجراءات لحماية أمنها وسيادتها وسلامة مواطنيها والمقيمين فيها، إعمالًا لحقها الأصيل في الدفاع عن النفس وفقًا للمادة (51) من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة. وشددت على أن أمن المملكة العربية السعودية جزء لا يتجزأ من أمن مملكة البحرين ودول مجلس التعاون، بموجب اتفاقية الدفاع المشترك.
ودعت الوزارة مجلس الأمن الدولي، ولا سيما الدول دائمة العضوية فيه، إلى الاضطلاع بمسؤولياته في وضع حد لهذه الاعتداءات وتهديداتها لأمن الملاحة البحرية وإمدادات الطاقة، وضمان التنفيذ الكامل لقراراته ذات الصلة، وفي مقدمتها القراران (2216) و(2817)، بما يحفظ السلم والأمن الإقليميين والدوليين.
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Bahrain's full support for the position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its efforts, under its leadership of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, in supporting the Presidential Leadership Council and the legitimate Yemeni government to end the coup, restore the state and its institutions, rid Yemen of the threat of terrorism, and reach a comprehensive political solution in accordance with the three references, in a way that meets the aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people for security and stability.
The ministry strongly condemned and denounced the continued brazen attacks by the Houthi terrorist militia against Saudi Arabia, targeting civilians and civilian and economic facilities, and their encroachment on the holiest places on earth in Mecca and Medina. These attacks included the capital Riyadh and the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, Najran, Taif, and Yanbu, in addition to Saudi ships in the southern Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
The ministry affirmed Bahrain's complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents, exercising its inherent right to self-defense in accordance with Article (51) of the United Nations Charter. It emphasized that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, under the Joint Defense Agreement.
The ministry called on the United Nations Security Council, particularly the permanent member states, to assume its responsibilities in putting an end to these attacks and threats to maritime navigation security and energy supplies, and to ensure the full implementation of its relevant resolutions, foremost among them resolutions (2216) and (2817), in a way that preserves regional and international peace and security.
