The Director of Military Media for the National Resistance affiliated with the Yemeni army, Abdul Nasser Al-Mamlouh, revealed to "Okaz" that significant losses have been inflicted on the Houthis in Al-Mokha and Dhubab, confirming that the National Resistance, along with various formations of the army, has reorganized its ranks and is ready for the decisive battle.
Al-Mamlouh said to "Okaz": The National Resistance and the Yemeni Armed Forces in general lost the western coast, but they have not lost the battle yet. What happened on the western coast is not an ordinary war, but a war approved and managed by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, which mobilized most of its forces and proxies in Yemen, Lebanon, and other countries. He indicated that Iranian experts and Hezbollah participated in managing the fire, specifically the missile system and drone operations.
He pointed out that the Iranian regime aimed to control the Bab al-Mandab Strait alongside the Strait of Hormuz, which would grant it a new strategic weapon in its conflict with the United States. For its part, the leadership of the terrorist Houthi militia found the opportunity to exploit the Iranian desire to achieve its local goal, which is to weaken the existential threat posed to it by the National Resistance and its leaders on the western coast.
He noted that the battle lasted nearly a month, and we faced the crowds of Tehran's proxies and the intensity of ballistic fire and drone attacks. Despite this, we inflicted significant human and material losses on the Houthis that they did not expect.
He added: "Several of our colleagues and leaders have fallen in the confrontations, both dead and wounded, and we are still bidding farewell to some of them today."
The military media official of the National Resistance emphasized that the loss of the western coast will not be the end of the battle but the beginning of a more intense one, regardless of the challenges.
He clarified that the National Resistance will be part of the Yemeni army and a republican force in the national battle that the Yemeni people are fighting against the Iranian project and its tools represented by the terrorist Houthi militia, and we will not retreat from our national goals.
Regarding the ongoing arrangements within the National Resistance, Al-Mamlouh said: The National Resistance has relied on sound foundations in building regular armies, and there is no fear for it as it is cohesive, united around its leadership, and believes in the justice of the national cause that the Yemeni people are fighting to defeat Iran's tools, restore the state, and its historical capital, Sana'a, bury the myth of guardianship, cut off the Iranian arm, and return Yemen to its Arab embrace with the support of our brothers in the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia.
He explained that the National Resistance has repositioned itself and its leadership has taken several measures that have enabled it to maintain its strength, gather, and solidify, and will allow it to reorganize its power and prepare to resume the national battle alongside various formations of the Yemeni armed forces, with support and backing from the Arab coalition.
The military media official vowed that the end of the Houthis on the western coast is near, saying: "The presence of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's tools in the western coast and Yemen will not last long, and our goal is Sana'a."
He pointed out that the air force has turned the killing square (Al-Mokha and Dhubab) and all of Yemen into a graveyard for the Houthis; anyone who reaches it returns only in pieces, and those who want to verify can follow the Houthi condolences and daily funerals.
