أدان الأزهر- بأشد العبارات- الاعتداءات التي تعرضت لها المملكة، مؤكدًا أنها تمثل انتهاكًا صريحًا لمبادئ حسن الجوار الإسلامي وحقوق الجار، ومساسًا غير مقبول بسيادة المملكة وأمنها واستقرارها.
وحذر الأزهر في بيان له اليوم (الثلاثاء)، من خطورة هذا التصعيد وتداعياته على استقرار المنطقة وأمنها، وما قد يترتب عليه من تهديدٍ لحياة المدنيين الأبرياء وتعميقٍ لحالة التوتر والصراع، داعيًا الجميع إلى ضبط النفس وتجنيب المنطقة مزيدًا من التصعيد والتوترات، وتغليب صوت العقل والحكمة، بما يحفظ أمن المنطقة واستقرارها، ويصون مقدرات شعوبها.
The Al-Azhar has condemned - in the strongest terms - the attacks that the Kingdom has been subjected to, affirming that they represent a blatant violation of the principles of Islamic good neighborliness and the rights of neighbors, as well as an unacceptable infringement on the sovereignty, security, and stability of the Kingdom.
Al-Azhar warned in a statement today (Tuesday) of the dangers of this escalation and its repercussions on the stability and security of the region, and the potential threats it poses to the lives of innocent civilians, deepening the state of tension and conflict. It called on everyone to exercise restraint and spare the region further escalation and tensions, prioritizing the voice of reason and wisdom, in order to preserve the security and stability of the region and protect the destinies of its peoples.
