أعلن المتحدث باسم القوات المسلحة اليمنية العقيد الركن ماجد عبدالله النزيلي اليوم (الجمعة)، أن القوات الجوية بدأت القصف في صندوق القتل المعلن سابقاً، مطالباً المدنيين تجنب استخدام طريق تعز - المخا وكذلك المخا - ذو باب. وشدد النزيلي على حساباته في شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي بالقول: "على المدنيين عدم استخدام الطرق المحظورة حتى إشعار آخر".
وكان الجيش اليمني في وقت سابق اليوم، قد أسقطت الدفاعات الجوية لقوات المنطقة العسكرية السادسة خمس طائرات مسيّرة انتحارية. وذكر المركز الإعلامي للقوات المسلحة اليمنية، أن الطائرات التي أُسقطت كانت انتحارية وتابعة لمليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية وتم تدميرها في شرقي الحزم مركز محافظة الجوف.
من جهة أخرى، حذرت الحكومة اليمنية اليوم، من مخطط حوثي مدعوم من إيران يهدد أمن باب المندب والملاحة الدولية، مؤكدة أن التصعيد العسكري للمليشيا في الساحل الغربي يستهدف تحويل السواحل والجزر اليمنية إلى أدوات ضغط على دول المنطقة والتجارة العالمية وإمدادات الطاقة.
جاء ذلك خلال اتصال هاتفي أجرته وزيرة الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين الدكتورة أفراح الزوبة، اليوم، مع وزير خارجية البحرين عبداللطيف الزياني، بحثا خلاله تطورات الأوضاع في اليمن وتداعيات التصعيد الحوثي على أمن المنطقة والممرات البحرية.
وأكدت الزوبة أن تحركات مليشيا الحوثي في الساحل الغربي تندرج ضمن أجندة إيرانية تسعى إلى توسيع نطاق التهديد من مضيق هرمز إلى المدخل الجنوبي للبحر الأحمر، مشددة على تمسك الدولة اليمنية بحقها ومسؤوليتها في حماية شعبها واستعادة سيادتها على أراضيها ومياهها الإقليمية.
ودعت إلى حشد دعم عربي ودولي فاعل للضغط على الحوثيين، ووقف تدفق الأسلحة والتمويل والخبرات الإيرانية إلى المليشيا، وتمكين الحكومة اليمنية من حماية سواحلها وموانئها وجزرها، إلى جانب تنفيذ قرارات مجلس الأمن ومحاسبة مرتكبي الانتهاكات وداعميهم.
من جانبه، أكد الزياني دعم البحرين للحكومة اليمنية ووحدة اليمن وسيادته وسلامة أراضيه، مشدداً على أن التصعيد الحوثي يهدد أمن اليمن والمنطقة وحرية الملاحة في البحر الأحمر وباب المندب، ويستدعي موقفاً دولياً حازماً.
The spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces, Colonel Majid Abdullah Al-Nazili, announced today (Friday) that the air force has begun bombing in the previously announced killing box, urging civilians to avoid using the Taiz - Al-Mokha road as well as the Al-Mokha - Dhubab road. Al-Nazili emphasized on his social media accounts, stating: "Civilians should not use the prohibited roads until further notice."
Earlier today, the Yemeni army's air defenses in the sixth military region shot down five suicide drones. The media center of the Yemeni armed forces reported that the downed drones were suicide drones belonging to the terrorist Houthi militia and were destroyed east of Al-Hazm, the center of Al-Jawf Governorate.
On another note, the Yemeni government warned today of an Iranian-backed Houthi scheme threatening the security of Bab al-Mandab and international navigation, asserting that the militia's military escalation on the western coast aims to turn Yemen's coasts and islands into pressure tools against regional countries, global trade, and energy supplies.
This came during a phone call made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Afrah Al-Zouba, today with the Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdulatif Al-Zayani, during which they discussed the developments in Yemen and the repercussions of the Houthi escalation on regional security and maritime routes.
Al-Zouba confirmed that the movements of the Houthi militia on the western coast fall within an Iranian agenda aimed at expanding the threat from the Strait of Hormuz to the southern entrance of the Red Sea, emphasizing the Yemeni state's commitment to its right and responsibility to protect its people and restore its sovereignty over its territory and territorial waters.
She called for mobilizing effective Arab and international support to pressure the Houthis, stop the flow of weapons, funding, and Iranian expertise to the militia, and enable the Yemeni government to protect its coasts, ports, and islands, in addition to implementing Security Council resolutions and holding accountable those who commit violations and their supporters.
For his part, Al-Zayani affirmed Bahrain's support for the Yemeni government, the unity of Yemen, its sovereignty, and the integrity of its territory, stressing that the Houthi escalation threatens the security of Yemen and the region and the freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, necessitating a firm international stance.
