دخلت الهجمات الروسية على العاصمة الأوكرانية كييف مرحلة جديدة من التصعيد، بعدما استهدفت طائرات مسيرة مزودة بمحركات نفاثة محطات وقود في أنحاء مختلفة من المدينة، في ضربات متتالية طالت منشآت مرتبطة بشكل مباشر بالحياة اليومية للسكان.
وأعلن عمدة كييف فيتالي كليتشكو، اليوم (الجمعة)، مقتل شخصين وإصابة 6 آخرين جراء هجمات استهدفت محطتي وقود في العاصمة خلال ساعات الصباح، بالتزامن مع فترة الذروة المرورية.
وجاءت الضربات بعد هجوم مماثل استهدف محطة وقود في كييف، الخميس، في واقعة كانت الأولى من نوعها داخل العاصمة.
انفجارات متتالية في كييف
وبحسب صحيفة الغارديان، استهدفت إحدى ضربات الجمعة محطة وقود تابعة لشركة «أوكرنفتا» في حي بوتشاينا شمالي كييف، وقال شهود إن الانفجار أسفر عن إصابة 3 أشخاص، بينهم مدير مغسلة سيارات قريبة وزوجته وسائق سيارة كان يمر بالمكان لحظة الهجوم.
وأظهرت تداعيات الانفجار سيارة متوقفة على جانب الطريق، وقد تحطمت نوافذها وتناثرت آثار الدماء على مقاعدها.
وقال شهود إنهم سمعوا انفجارين متتاليين، فيما أعلنت السلطات المحلية لاحقًا أن روسيا نفذت هجومًا مزدوجًا على المنشأة، في أسلوب عسكري يُقصد به استهداف الموقع مرة أخرى بعد وصول فرق الإنقاذ أو تجمع الأشخاص في المكان.
جميع المحطات المستهدفة تابعة لشركة واحدة
وكان لافتًا أن الهجمات الثلاث التي استهدفت محطات الوقود في كييف خلال يومين طالت منشآت تديرها شركة «أوكرنفتا»، وهي شركة مملوكة للدولة تعمل في استخراج النفط والغاز الطبيعي، وتتبع شركة «نافتوجاز» الحكومية.
وقال سيرجي فيدورينكو، القائم بأعمال رئيس «نافتوجاز»، إن المحطات المستهدفة لا تمثل أهدافًا عسكرية.
وأضاف أن الهجمات «لا يمكن أن يكون لها أي هدف عسكري»، واصفًا إياها بأنها «إرهاب موجه ضد السكان المدنيين والأشخاص المسالمين».
قائمة بمحطات مستهدفة تثير القلق
وفي تطور أثار مخاوف إضافية بين سكان العاصمة، بدأت قائمة تضم 18 محطة وقود في كييف يُتوقع استهدافها بطائرات روسية مسيرة في الانتشار عبر تطبيق «تليجرام» الأربعاء.
وبحسب التقرير، كانت المحطات الثلاث التي تعرضت للهجمات حتى الآن مدرجة ضمن هذه القائمة.
وفي محطة الوقود الأخرى التي استُهدفت الجمعة، بمنطقة ديسنيانسكي، وهي واحدة من أكثر مناطق العاصمة كثافة سكانية، قال مدير مغسلة سيارات قريبة إن نجاتهم من الانفجار بدت أشبه بالمعجزة.
وأوضح فيدير ليسوفين أن صفارات الإنذار من الغارات الجوية منحت العاملين في محطة الوقود وقتًا كافيًا للهرب إلى ملجأ قريب.
وأضاف أن أحد العملاء الذين كانوا ينتظرون خارج منشأته شاهد الطائرة المسيرة وهي تقترب، فتمكن أيضًا من الركض إلى مكان آمن قبل وقوع الانفجار.
استهداف متزايد لمحطات الوقود
وتصاعدت خلال الأشهر الأخيرة الهجمات الروسية على محطات الوقود الأوكرانية، بعدما تعرضت منشآت في شرق البلاد وجنوبها لهجمات متكررة.
لكن هجمات هذا الأسبوع تمثل تطورًا لافتًا، إذ نقلت الضربات إلى قلب العاصمة، مستهدفة منشآت حيوية ترتبط بشكل مباشر بحاجات السكان اليومية وحركة النقل.
وفي المقابل، شنت أوكرانيا أيضًا هجمات على منشآت مرتبطة بقطاع النفط الروسي.
وأعلنت قوات العمليات الخاصة الأوكرانية هذا الأسبوع استهداف منشآت في ميناء محج قلعة على بحر قزوين، في إطار الهجمات الأوكرانية على البنية التحتية النفطية الروسية.
كييف تحت القصف منذ أواخر أغسطس
وتتعرض كييف منذ أواخر أغسطس لقصف يومي بالطائرات المسيرة والصواريخ، في وقت تواجه فيه أوكرانيا ضغوطًا متزايدة على دفاعاتها الجوية، وسط تقارير عن تراجع مخزونها من صواريخ «باتريوت» الاعتراضية.
وكانت العاصمة قد شهدت هدنة قصيرة خلال زيارة المبعوثين الأمريكيين جاريد كوشنر وستيف ويتكوف إلى كييف خلال عطلة نهاية الأسبوع، قبل أن تستأنف الهجمات الاثنين.
وتأتي الضربات الأخيرة بينما يقوم الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي بجولة خارجية تهدف إلى حشد مزيد من الدعم الدولي والمساعدات لأوكرانيا، قبل فصل شتاء يتوقع أن يكون صعبًا على البلاد.
والخميس، التقى زيلينسكي رئيس الوزراء الكندي مارك كارني، الذي أعلن تقديم دعم للمساعدة في تعزيز مخزون أوكرانيا من الطائرات المسيرة.
وتشير التطورات الأخيرة إلى اتساع نطاق الحرب لتشمل أهدافًا مرتبطة بسلاسل الإمداد والحياة اليومية للسكان، في وقت تستعد فيه كييف لمواجهة مزيد من الضغوط العسكرية والاقتصادية مع اقتراب الشتاء.
The Russian attacks on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, have entered a new phase of escalation, as jet-powered drones targeted fuel stations across different parts of the city, in consecutive strikes that hit facilities directly linked to the daily lives of the residents.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced today (Friday) that two people were killed and six others injured as a result of attacks targeting fuel stations in the capital during the morning hours, coinciding with peak traffic times.
The strikes followed a similar attack on a fuel station in Kyiv on Thursday, which was the first of its kind within the capital.
Sequential Explosions in Kyiv
According to The Guardian, one of Friday's strikes targeted a fuel station belonging to the "Ukrnafta" company in the Bucha district north of Kyiv, and witnesses reported that the explosion resulted in three injuries, including the manager of a nearby car wash, his wife, and a driver passing by at the moment of the attack.
The aftermath of the explosion showed a car parked on the side of the road, with shattered windows and bloodstains scattered on its seats.
Witnesses said they heard two consecutive explosions, while local authorities later announced that Russia had carried out a double attack on the facility, a military tactic intended to target the site again after rescue teams or people had gathered in the area.
All Targeted Stations Belong to One Company
It was notable that the three attacks targeting fuel stations in Kyiv over two days hit facilities operated by "Ukrnafta," a state-owned company engaged in oil and natural gas extraction, which is part of the state-owned "Naftogaz" company.
Sergiy Fedorienko, acting head of "Naftogaz," stated that the targeted stations do not represent military objectives.
He added that the attacks "cannot have any military objective," describing them as "terrorism directed against civilians and peaceful individuals."
A List of Targeted Stations Raises Concerns
In a development that raised additional fears among the capital's residents, a list of 18 fuel stations in Kyiv expected to be targeted by Russian drones began circulating via the Telegram app on Wednesday.
According to the report, the three stations that have been attacked so far were included on this list.
At another fuel station that was targeted on Friday, in the Desnyansky district, one of the most densely populated areas of the capital, the manager of a nearby car wash said their survival from the explosion felt like a miracle.
Fedir Lysovyn explained that the air raid sirens gave the workers at the fuel station enough time to flee to a nearby shelter.
He added that one customer waiting outside his establishment saw the drone approaching and was also able to run to a safe place before the explosion occurred.
Increasing Targeting of Fuel Stations
In recent months, Russian attacks on Ukrainian fuel stations have intensified, as facilities in the eastern and southern regions of the country have faced repeated assaults.
However, this week's attacks represent a significant escalation, as the strikes have moved to the heart of the capital, targeting vital facilities directly linked to the daily needs of the residents and transportation.
In contrast, Ukraine has also launched attacks on facilities linked to the Russian oil sector.
This week, Ukrainian special operations forces announced targeting facilities in the port of Makhachkala on the Caspian Sea, as part of Ukraine's attacks on Russian oil infrastructure.
Kyiv Under Bombardment Since Late August
Since late August, Kyiv has been subjected to daily bombardment by drones and missiles, while Ukraine faces increasing pressure on its air defenses, amid reports of dwindling stocks of Patriot interceptor missiles.
The capital had experienced a brief lull during the visit of American envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff to Kyiv over the weekend, before the attacks resumed on Monday.
The latest strikes come as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is on a foreign tour aimed at rallying more international support and assistance for Ukraine, ahead of a winter expected to be challenging for the country.
On Thursday, Zelensky met with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, who announced support to help bolster Ukraine's stock of drones.
Recent developments indicate an expansion of the war to include targets linked to supply chains and the daily lives of residents, as Kyiv prepares to face further military and economic pressures with the approach of winter.
