اتهمت مؤسسة تمكين المرأة اليمنية (YWEF) اليوم (السبت) مليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية بارتكاب 4651 جريمة ضد أئمة المساجد والخطباء والأقليات الدينية في اليمن خلال الفترة من 1 يناير 2014 حتى 21 أغسطس 2026 في 14 محافظة وأكثر من 200 مديرية.
وذكرت المؤسسة في تقريراً لها أن الحوثي انتهج سياسة منظمة للسيطرة على المساجد والمنابر والأوقاف، وإقصاء المخالفين، وفرض خطاب مذهبي قائم على التحريض والتعبئة العسكرية، مؤكداً أن الحوثي قتل 311 شخصاً وأصاب 231، واختطف واحتجز 679 شخصاً، بينهم 143 ضحية تعرضوا للتعذيب و13 توفوا تحته، إضافة إلى فرض 938 إماماً وخطيباً موالياً للمليشيا بالقوة.
وأشار التقرير إلى أن فريق المؤسسة وثق تحويل 491 مسجداً إلى ثكنات عسكرية، واستخدام 114 مسجداً غرفاً للعمليات، و902 واقعة اعتداء وتدنيس وتحويل مذهبي، ومصادرة 832 مكتبة مسجد، والاستيلاء على 151 مرفقاً وسكناً ووقفاً دينياً، إلى جانب حالتي سب وتشهير مباشر. وتضمنت أبرز التطورات اعتقال الدكتور غازي قائد أحمد الهويدي، واختطاف 4 أئمة وطلاب علم في حبيش، والداعية يوسف الجبلي، وفرض خطباء بالقوة في ذمار، وهدم أجزاء من سور جامع المشهد الأثري بصنعاء، واستهداف مسجد بيت جعوال.
كما رصد التقرير حملة اعتقالات طالت ما لا يقل عن 21 مسيحياً يمنياً، واستمرار التضييق على البهائيين، وبقاء المواطن اليمني اليهودي ليبي سالم موسى مرحبي معتقلاً في سجون المليشيا منذ مارس 2016، رغم صدور أمر بالإفراج عنه عام 2019، في نموذج صارخ للاضطهاد الديني والاحتجاز التعسفي. وأكدت المؤسسة أن مليشيا الحوثي حوّلت المسجد من دار عبادة إلى أداة للسيطرة والتحريض والعسكرة، محذرة من أن هذه الانتهاكات ترقى، وفق ظروف كل واقعة، إلى جرائم حرب وجرائم ضد الإنسانية.
وطالبت المؤسسة بالإفراج الفوري عن جميع المختطفين، وكشف مصير المخفيين، ووقف عسكرة المساجد وفرض الخطباء، وإعادة الأوقاف والمكتبات المنهوبة، وإنشاء آلية دولية لجمع الأدلة ومحاسبة المسؤولين بلا حصانة أو إفلات من العقاب.
The Yemeni Women's Empowerment Foundation (YWEF) today (Saturday) accused the Houthi terrorist militia of committing 4,651 crimes against mosque imams, preachers, and religious minorities in Yemen from January 1, 2014, to August 21, 2026, across 14 governorates and more than 200 districts.
The foundation stated in its report that the Houthis have adopted a systematic policy to control mosques, pulpits, and endowments, marginalizing dissenters, and imposing a sectarian discourse based on incitement and military mobilization. It confirmed that the Houthis killed 311 people, injured 231, and kidnapped and detained 679 individuals, including 143 victims who were tortured and 13 who died under torture, in addition to forcibly imposing 938 pro-militia imams and preachers.
The report indicated that the foundation's team documented the conversion of 491 mosques into military barracks, the use of 114 mosques as operation rooms, 902 incidents of assault and desecration and sectarian conversion, the confiscation of 832 mosque libraries, and the seizure of 151 facilities, residences, and religious endowments, along with two cases of direct abuse and defamation. Among the most notable developments were the arrest of Dr. Ghazi Qaid Ahmed Al-Huwaidi, the kidnapping of 4 imams and students of knowledge in Habish, the preacher Yusuf Al-Jabali, the forcible imposition of preachers in Dhamar, the demolition of parts of the wall of the historic Al-Mashhad Mosque in Sana'a, and the targeting of the Beit Jawal Mosque.
The report also monitored a campaign of arrests affecting at least 21 Yemeni Christians, ongoing restrictions on Bahá'ís, and the continued detention of Yemeni Jewish citizen Liby Salem Musa Marhabi in the militia's prisons since March 2016, despite a release order issued in 2019, in a blatant example of religious persecution and arbitrary detention. The foundation affirmed that the Houthi militia has transformed the mosque from a place of worship into a tool for control, incitement, and militarization, warning that these violations amount, depending on the circumstances of each incident, to war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The foundation demanded the immediate release of all abductees, the disclosure of the fate of the missing, the cessation of the militarization of mosques and the imposition of preachers, the return of looted endowments and libraries, and the establishment of an international mechanism to collect evidence and hold accountable those responsible without immunity or impunity.
