اعتقلت قوات إسرائيلية وزير شؤون القدس الفلسطيني أشرف الأعور، عقب اقتحام منزله في بلدة سلوان بالقدس المحتلة، بالتزامن مع حملة اعتقالات واسعة في الضفة الغربية طالت ما لا يقل عن 30 فلسطينياً، بحسب ما أوردت وكالة الأنباء «وفا»، اليوم (الأربعاء).
وقال مركز الاتصال الحكومي إن اعتقال الأعور جاء رغم صدور قرار إسرائيلي سابق بإبعاده عن الضفة الغربية، في إطار الإجراءات والقيود التي تفرضها سلطات الاحتلال على المسؤولين الفلسطينيين المقدسيين.
وفي الضفة الغربية، أعلن نادي الأسير الفلسطيني بأن قوات الاحتلال نفذت منذ مساء الثلاثاء وحتى صباح الأربعاء حملة اعتقالات تركزت في محافظات الخليل ونابلس وقلقيلية وطولكرم.
وأفاد بأن الاعتقالات رافقتها عمليات اقتحام وتفتيش للمنازل واحتجاز للمواطنين والتحقيق معهم ميدانياً، مشيراً إلى استمرار تصعيد الاعتقالات في مختلف مناطق الضفة.
واتهم النادي إسرائيل بتصعيد استهداف الصحفيين الفلسطينيين عبر الاعتقال والاستهداف أثناء أداء عملهم، بالتزامن مع استمرار قتل الصحفيين في قطاع غزة، معتبراً أن ذلك يهدف إلى تقييد عملهم وطمس ما وصفها بالرواية الفلسطينية.
وأشار إلى أن حملات الاعتقال تتزامن مع تصاعد اعتداءات المستوطنين بحق الفلسطينيين وممتلكاتهم، ولا سيما في المناطق التي تشهد عمليات اقتحام واعتداءات متكررة، بما يشكل جزءاً من منظومة متكاملة تستهدف الفلسطينيين وتهدف إلى فرض مزيد من السيطرة عليهم، ودفعهم إلى مواجهة واقع متواصل من التهديد والعنف والترهيب.
وأكد نادي الأسير أن محافظات الخليل ونابلس وقلقيلية وطولكرم تشهد تصعيداً متواصلاً في عمليات الاقتحام والاعتقال، مضيفاً أن عدد حالات الاعتقال في الضفة الغربية منذ بدء الحرب تجاوز 25000 حالة.
Israeli forces arrested the Palestinian Minister of Jerusalem Affairs, Ashraf Al-Awar, after storming his home in the town of Silwan in occupied Jerusalem, coinciding with a wide-ranging arrest campaign in the West Bank that targeted at least 30 Palestinians, according to the Palestinian news agency "Wafa," today (Wednesday).
The government communication center stated that Al-Awar's arrest came despite a previous Israeli decision to expel him from the West Bank, as part of the measures and restrictions imposed by the occupation authorities on Palestinian officials in Jerusalem.
In the West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoners' Club announced that the occupation forces carried out a campaign of arrests from Tuesday evening until Wednesday morning, focusing on the governorates of Hebron, Nablus, Qalqilya, and Tulkarm.
It reported that the arrests were accompanied by raids and searches of homes, detention of citizens, and field interrogations, noting the continued escalation of arrests in various areas of the West Bank.
The club accused Israel of escalating the targeting of Palestinian journalists through arrests and attacks while they perform their work, coinciding with the ongoing killing of journalists in the Gaza Strip, considering that this aims to restrict their work and obscure what it described as the Palestinian narrative.
It pointed out that the arrest campaigns coincide with the increasing assaults by settlers against Palestinians and their properties, especially in areas witnessing repeated incursions and assaults, which constitutes part of an integrated system targeting Palestinians and aiming to impose further control over them, pushing them to face a continuous reality of threat, violence, and intimidation.
The Prisoners' Club confirmed that the governorates of Hebron, Nablus, Qalqilya, and Tulkarm are witnessing a continuous escalation in incursions and arrests, adding that the number of arrests in the West Bank since the start of the war has exceeded 25,000 cases.
