في انتهاك جديد للسيادة السورية، توغلت قوة عسكرية إسرائيلية في بلدة جباتا الخشب بريف القنيطرة شمالي سورية، واعتقلت شابين خلال مداهمات طالت عدداً من المنازل، قبل أن تنسحب من المنطقة، وفق ما أوردت وكالة الأنباء السورية «سانا»، اليوم (الأربعاء).
وضمت القوة أكثر من 100 جندي ونحو 15 آلية عسكرية، واقتادت الشابين إلى أحد مواقعها في محمية جباتا الخشب، وأكدت قناة «الإخبارية السورية» الإفراج عن أحدهما بعد ساعات من اعتقاله.
ويأتي التوغل بعد يوم من استهداف القوات الإسرائيلية بقذيفة مدفعية منطقة حوض اليرموك في ريف درعا الغربي.
قصف مطار أبو الظهور
وأقرت إسرائيل، مساء الثلاثاء، بمسؤوليتها عن قصف مطار عسكري في سورية، بزعم الحيلولة دون انتشار قوات تركية فيه، فيما قالت واشنطن إنها تعمل على وضع آلية لمنع الصدام بين أنقرة وتل أبيب ودمشق.
وأدانت سورية في رسالتين متطابقتين إلى الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو جوتيريش، ورئيسة مجلس الأمن الدولي كريستينا لاسن، بأشد العبارات الاعتداء الإسرائيلي على المطار، مؤكدة أنه «عدوان غير مبرر وانتهاك صارخ لسيادة سوريا ووحدة أراضيها، وتصعيد خطير يهدد الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة».
وكان مكتب رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو، ذكر في بيان، أن إسرائيل وسوريا اتفقتا على الحفاظ على الوضع الراهن فيما يتعلق بالمسائل الأمنية، زاعما أن سورية كانت على وشك «انتهاك الاتفاق بسماحها لقوات تركية بالانتشار في قاعدة جوية قرب حلب».
وتعرض مطار أبو الظهور العسكري في محافظة إدلب السورية، على بعد نحو 70 كيلومتراً من الحدود التركية، لهجوم فجر الثلاثاء، استهدف المدارج والحظائر المستخدمة لوقوف الطائرات. وزار وفد تركي الموقع، الأسبوع الماضي، في إطار جهود لإعادة تأهيله.
In a new violation of Syrian sovereignty, an Israeli military force infiltrated the town of Jbata al-Khashab in the Quneitra countryside in northern Syria, and arrested two young men during raids that targeted several homes, before withdrawing from the area, according to the Syrian news agency "SANA," today (Wednesday).
The force included more than 100 soldiers and about 15 military vehicles, and took the two young men to one of its sites in the Jbata al-Khashab reserve, with the Syrian "Ikhbariya" channel confirming the release of one of them hours after his arrest.
This incursion comes a day after Israeli forces targeted the Yarmouk Basin area in the western Daraa countryside with artillery shells.
Attack on Abu al-Duhur Airport
Israel acknowledged on Tuesday evening its responsibility for the bombing of a military airport in Syria, claiming it aimed to prevent the deployment of Turkish forces there, while Washington stated it was working on establishing a mechanism to prevent clashes between Ankara, Tel Aviv, and Damascus.
Syria condemned in two identical letters to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and President of the UN Security Council Kristina Lassen, in the strongest terms, the Israeli attack on the airport, affirming that it is "an unjustified aggression and a blatant violation of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and a serious escalation that threatens security and stability in the region."
The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in a statement that Israel and Syria had agreed to maintain the status quo regarding security issues, claiming that Syria was on the verge of "violating the agreement by allowing Turkish forces to deploy at an airbase near Aleppo."
The Abu al-Duhur military airport in Idlib province, located about 70 kilometers from the Turkish border, was attacked early Tuesday, targeting the runways and hangars used for parking aircraft. A Turkish delegation visited the site last week as part of efforts to rehabilitate it.
