أعلن مكتب الأمم المتحدة لتنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية (أوتشا)، اليوم (الإثنين)، مقتل وإصابة واختطاف 907 عمال في الأمم المتحدة خلال عام 2025.
وأوضح المكتب في بيان أن «سنة 2025 سجلت رقماً قياسياً مأساوياً آخر في ما يتعلق بأعمال العنف تجاه العاملين في المجال الإنساني، وقُتل أو جُرح أو خُطف 907 من العاملين في هذا المجال»، وبحسب هذه البيانات المأخوذة من قاعدة بيانات مركز الأبحاث المتخصص «هيومانيترين أوتكمز»، فإن عدد القتلى عام 2025 كان أقل بقليل من العدد المسجل في عام 2024، الذي شهد مقتل 377 عاملاً في المجال الإنساني، وبلغ 350 عاملاً في المجال الإنساني بينهم 186 عاملاً في غزة و71 في السودان.
وذكر البيان أنه ومنذ بداية العام 2026 قُتل 82 شخصاً عاملاً في المجال الإنساني، وأُصيب 97، وخُطف 39 في مختلف أنحاء العالم.
وقال رئيس الشؤون الإنسانية في الأمم المتحدة توم فليتشر: «قُتل أكثر من ألف عامل في المجال الإنساني في ثلاث سنوات فقط، وهذا رقم غير مقبول مطلقاً»، مضيفاً: «لكن مجرد الإدانة لن يوفر لهم الحماية، ويتعين على الدول الالتزام بالقانون الدولي الإنساني واستخدام كل الوسائل المتاحة لحماية المدنيين وزملائنا، كما يجب أن يتحمل من ينتهكون القواعد عواقب أفعالهم».
وأشار أوتشا إلى أن «انتشار الطائرات المسيّرة المسلحة الرخيصة القابلة للتعديل أمرٌ مقلق جداً، إذ يمنح عدداً متزايداً من الجهات الفاعلة القدرة على استخدام القوة الفتاكة».
وقال فليتشر: «الطائرات المسيّرة المسلحة أصبحت الوجه الجديد لخطر قديم، المساس بأرواح المدنيين عمداً أو باستهتار»، مضيفاً: «قد تتطور التكنولوجيا، لكن قوانين الحرب لا تتغير».
كانت الطائرات المسيّرة المسلحة مسؤولة عن 80% من القتلى المدنيين في الأشهر الأربعة الأولى من العام 2026، إذ استهدفت الأسواق والمرافق الصحية خصوصاً، بحسب أوتشا.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced today (Monday) the killing, injury, and abduction of 907 UN workers during the year 2025.
The office stated in a statement that "the year 2025 recorded another tragic record regarding acts of violence against humanitarian workers, with 907 individuals in this field killed, injured, or kidnapped." According to this data taken from the specialized research center database "Humanitarian Outcomes," the number of fatalities in 2025 was slightly less than the number recorded in 2024, which saw the deaths of 377 humanitarian workers, totaling 350 humanitarian workers, including 186 in Gaza and 71 in Sudan.
The statement mentioned that since the beginning of 2026, 82 humanitarian workers have been killed, 97 injured, and 39 kidnapped in various parts of the world.
UN humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher said, "More than a thousand humanitarian workers have been killed in just three years, and this is an entirely unacceptable number," adding, "But mere condemnation will not provide them with protection; countries must adhere to international humanitarian law and use all available means to protect civilians and our colleagues, and those who violate the rules must face the consequences of their actions."
OCHA pointed out that "the proliferation of cheap, modifiable armed drones is very concerning, as it gives an increasing number of actors the ability to use lethal force."
Fletcher stated, "Armed drones have become the new face of an old danger, the deliberate or reckless endangerment of civilian lives," adding, "Technology may evolve, but the laws of war do not change."
Armed drones were responsible for 80% of civilian deaths in the first four months of 2026, particularly targeting markets and health facilities, according to OCHA.
