أعربت وزارة الخارجية عن إدانة واستنكار المملكة العربية السعودية بأشد العبارات استهداف ناقلتين تابعتين لشركة أدنوك الإماراتية أثناء عبورهما مضيق هرمز، في تكرار مرفوض للاعتداءات الإيرانية التي تستهدف السفن والناقلات التجارية.
وقالت الوزارة في بيان: «المملكة تؤكد أن تكرار هذه الاعتداءات يمثل تصعيدًا خطيرًا وتهديدًا مباشرًا لأمن الملاحة البحرية وسلامتها، ولأمن إمدادات الطاقة العالمية، ويشكل انتهاكًا جسيمًا للقوانين والأعراف الدولية، وتحديًا سافرًا لقرار مجلس الأمن رقم (2817) الذي أكد وجوب احترام حقوق وحرية الملاحة للسفن التجارية عبر مضيق هرمز، وأدان أي إجراءات أو تهديدات من شأنها عرقلة ذلك».
وحمَّلت المملكة إيران المسؤولية الكاملة عن عواقب استمرارها في هذه الاعتداءات، مطالبةً إياها بالوقف الفوري لهذه الانتهاكات واحترام القوانين الدولية ذات الصلة، مؤكدةً أن أمن المنطقة وسلامة الملاحة الدولية مسؤولية مشتركة، وأن استمرار هذه الاعتداءات أمر لا يمكن القبول به أو التساهل معه.
وجددت المملكة تضامنها الكامل مع دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة الشقيقة، ووقوفها إلى جانبها ودعمها فيما تتخذه من إجراءات للحفاظ على سيادتها وأمنها ومقدراتها.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the targeting of two tankers belonging to the UAE's ADNOC company while they were transiting the Strait of Hormuz, in a rejected repetition of Iranian attacks targeting ships and commercial tankers.
The ministry stated in a statement: "The Kingdom affirms that the repetition of these attacks represents a serious escalation and a direct threat to maritime navigation security and safety, as well as to global energy supply security, and constitutes a grave violation of international laws and norms, and a blatant challenge to Security Council Resolution No. (2817), which affirmed the necessity of respecting the rights and freedom of navigation for commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, and condemned any actions or threats that could obstruct that."
The Kingdom held Iran fully responsible for the consequences of its continued attacks, demanding an immediate cessation of these violations and respect for the relevant international laws, affirming that the security of the region and the safety of international navigation is a shared responsibility, and that the continuation of these attacks is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated.
The Kingdom renewed its full solidarity with the sisterly United Arab Emirates, standing by its side and supporting it in the measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty, security, and resources.
