أكد الرئيس المصري عبدالفتاح السيسي أن الجهات المصرية المختصة تواصل تحقيقاتها للوقوف على ملابسات وتفاصيل حادثة تعرض سفينتين في ميناء دمياط يوم 29 يوليو 2026 لاستهداف بطائرة مسيّرة.
وشدد خلال اتصال هاتفي مع رئيس الوزراء الإسباني بيدرو سانشيز، على خطورة التصعيد الذي تشهده المنطقة، ومؤكداً أهمية تكاتف مصر وإسبانيا وأوروبا والمجتمع الدولي من أجل احتواء هذا التصعيد ومنع اتساعه.
وبحسب بيان رسمي للرئاسة المصرية، تناول الاتصال تطورات الأوضاع الإقليمية والعلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين، إلى جانب تبادل رسائل التضامن بشأن الأحداث التي شهدتها مصر وإسبانيا خلال الأيام الماضية.
وقال متحدث الرئاسة المصرية السفير محمد الشناوي إن رئيس الوزراء الإسباني استهل الاتصال بالإعراب عن إدانة بلاده للهجوم الذي تعرضت له سفينتان في ميناء دمياط يوم 29 يوليو 2026 بطائرة مسيّرة، مؤكداً تضامن إسبانيا، حكومةً وشعباً، مع مصر في هذا الظرف.
وأضاف أن الاتصال تطرق أيضاً إلى مستجدات الأوضاع الإقليمية، إذ استعرض الرئيس السيسي الجهود التي تبذلها مصر لاستعادة الاستقرار في المنطقة، وهي الجهود التي حظيت بتقدير كبير من رئيس الوزراء الإسباني، الذي أشاد بالدور المصري في دعم الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي.
وأكد الجانبان أهمية التوصل إلى تسويات سلمية للنزاعات بما يحفظ السلم والأمن في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، فيما شدد رئيس الوزراء الإسباني على ضرورة أن تضطلع الأمم المتحدة بمسؤولياتها لوقف الحرب الدائرة، مجدداً التأكيد على أهمية التوصل إلى حل عادل وشامل للقضية الفلسطينية استناداً إلى حل الدولتين.
وخلال الاتصال، أعرب الرئيس السيسي عن تضامن مصر الكامل مع إسبانيا في مواجهة الحرائق التي اجتاحت عدداً من المناطق الإسبانية أخيراً، مقدماً خالص التعازي في ضحايا تلك الحرائق، ومتمنياً الشفاء العاجل للمصابين.
كما أكد السيسي استعداد مصر لتقديم جميع أوجه الدعم الممكنة لمساندة الجانب الإسباني في مواجهة هذه الظروف، معرباً عن ثقته في قدرة إسبانيا على تجاوز الأزمة، ومتمنياً لها دوام الأمن والاستقرار والازدهار.
وفي سياق آخر، هنأ الرئيس المصري، رئيس الوزراء الإسباني بمناسبة فوز المنتخب الإسباني ببطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم، في لفتة تعكس عمق العلاقات الودية بين البلدين.
وأشار متحدث الرئاسة المصرية إلى أن رئيس الوزراء الإسباني أعرب عن بالغ تقديره لمبادرة الرئيس المصري بإجراء الاتصال الهاتفي ونقل رسالة التضامن المصري في هذا الظرف الدقيق، مؤكداً عمق العلاقات التاريخية التي تجمع مصر وإسبانيا على المستويين الرسمي والشعبي.
كما أعرب سانشيز عن تطلعه إلى مواصلة العمل المشترك مع مصر من أجل تعزيز التعاون الثنائي في مختلف المجالات، لا سيما السياسية والاقتصادية، بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين ويعزز الشراكة بينهما.
The Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi confirmed that the relevant Egyptian authorities are continuing their investigations to determine the circumstances and details of the incident involving two ships at the port of Damietta on July 29, 2026, which were targeted by a drone.
He emphasized during a phone call with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez the seriousness of the escalation occurring in the region, affirming the importance of solidarity among Egypt, Spain, Europe, and the international community to contain this escalation and prevent its expansion.
According to an official statement from the Egyptian presidency, the call addressed regional developments and the bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to exchanging messages of solidarity regarding the events that took place in Egypt and Spain in recent days.
The Egyptian presidency spokesperson, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, stated that the Spanish Prime Minister began the call by expressing his country's condemnation of the attack on the two ships in the port of Damietta on July 29, 2026, by a drone, affirming Spain's solidarity, both government and people, with Egypt during this circumstance.
He added that the call also touched on the latest regional developments, as President El-Sisi reviewed the efforts being made by Egypt to restore stability in the region, efforts that were highly appreciated by the Spanish Prime Minister, who praised Egypt's role in supporting regional security and stability.
