أعلنت السلطات الألمانية العثور على مقطع فيديو على الهاتف المحمول للمشتبه به في تنفيذ الهجوم الدموي الذي استهدف مسيرة للمثليين في العاصمة برلين، يتبنى فيه المسؤولية عن الهجوم ويعلن مبايعته لتنظيم «داعش» الإرهابي، في تطور قد يعزز فرضية الدافع الإرهابي وراء الحادثة.
وأكدت المتحدثة باسم مكتب المدعي العام الاتحادي الألماني صحة ما أوردته صحيفة «بيلد» بشأن العثور على الفيديو، موضحة أن المقطع يتضمن إعلان المشتبه به مسؤوليته عن الهجوم الذي وقع مساء (السبت) الماضي، إلى جانب مبايعته لتنظيم «داعش».
ذكرت مجلة «شبيغل» الألمانية أن الشخص الذي يظهر في الفيديو هو المشتبه به البالغ من العمر 21 عاماً، والذي نفذ الهجوم بعدما اقتحم بسيارته حشداً من المشاركين في فعالية للمثليين داخل حديقة تيرغارتن وسط برلين، قبل أن يترجل من المركبة ويهاجم المارة باستخدام سلاح أبيض، قيل إنه ساطور.
وأسفر الهجوم، بحسب أحدث حصيلة أعلنها عمدة برلين كاي فيغنر، عن مقتل امرأة بولندية وإصابة 31 شخصاً بجروح متفاوتة، بينما لا يزال عدد من المصابين يتلقون العلاج في المستشفيات.
وفي تطور متصل، أعلن الادعاء العام في بولندا، (الثلاثاء)، فتح تحقيق في مقتل المواطنة البولندية التي كانت تشارك في الفعالية برفقة ابنتها، التي أصيبت خلال الهجوم. وأكدت وزارة الخارجية البولندية أن الابنة، وهي بالغة، تتلقى العلاج وحالتها مستقرة، وقد أُبلغت بوفاة والدتها.
وكانت الشرطة الألمانية قد تمكنت من قتل المشتبه به في مجمع حدائق بحي شبانداو غربي برلين، (الأحد)، بعد عملية مطاردة استمرت نحو يوم كامل عقب فراره من موقع الهجوم.
وأدى الاعتداء إلى إلغاء فعاليات «يوم شارع كريستوفر»، وهو أكبر حدث سنوي ينظمه مجتمع المثليين في ألمانيا، ويستقطب عشرات الآلاف من المشاركين للمطالبة بالمساواة وحقوق مجتمع الميم.
وأثار الهجوم صدمة واسعة داخل ألمانيا، وسط تحقيقات مكثفة تقودها النيابة العامة الاتحادية لتحديد ملابساته، وما إذا كان قد تم التخطيط له بصورة منفردة أم بارتباطات مع جهات متطرفة، خاصة بعد العثور على الفيديو الذي يشير إلى تبني المنفذ للهجوم ومبايعته لتنظيم «داعش».
The German authorities announced the discovery of a video on the mobile phone of the suspect in the bloody attack targeting a pride parade in the capital, Berlin, in which he claims responsibility for the attack and pledges allegiance to the terrorist organization "ISIS," in a development that may strengthen the hypothesis of a terrorist motive behind the incident.
The spokesperson for the German Federal Prosecutor's Office confirmed the accuracy of what was reported by the newspaper "Bild" regarding the discovery of the video, explaining that the clip includes the suspect's declaration of responsibility for the attack that occurred last Saturday evening, along with his pledge of allegiance to "ISIS."
The German magazine "Spiegel" reported that the person appearing in the video is the 21-year-old suspect, who carried out the attack after driving his car into a crowd of participants in a pride event inside Tiergarten Park in central Berlin, before getting out of the vehicle and attacking passersby with a knife, which was said to be a cleaver.
The attack resulted, according to the latest toll announced by Berlin's mayor Kai Wegner, in the death of a Polish woman and injuries to 31 people, while several of the injured are still receiving treatment in hospitals.
In a related development, the Polish public prosecutor announced on Tuesday the opening of an investigation into the death of the Polish citizen who was participating in the event with her daughter, who was injured during the attack. The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the daughter, who is an adult, is receiving treatment and her condition is stable, and she has been informed of her mother's death.
The German police managed to kill the suspect in a garden complex in the Spandau district of western Berlin on Sunday, after a chase that lasted nearly a full day following his escape from the attack site.
The assault led to the cancellation of the "Christopher Street Day" events, which is the largest annual event organized by the LGBTQ+ community in Germany, attracting tens of thousands of participants advocating for equality and the rights of the LGBTQ+ community.
The attack has caused widespread shock within Germany, amid intensive investigations led by the Federal Prosecutor's Office to determine the circumstances of the incident, and whether it was planned independently or in connection with extremist groups, especially after the discovery of the video indicating the perpetrator's adoption of the attack and his allegiance to "ISIS."
