أعلنت وزارة الداخلية السورية، اليوم (الإثنين)، أن التحقيقات الجارية مع أفراد الخلية الإرهابية التي أُلقي القبض عليها أخيراً، والمدعومة بتحليل تسجيلات كاميرات المراقبة واعترافات الموقوفين، أثبتت مسؤوليتهم عن التفجير الإرهابي الذي وقع في دمشق في السابع من يوليو الجاري عقب زيارة الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون.
وأوضحت الوزارة أن التحقيقات أظهرت انتماء الموقوفين ضياء شاكر القاسم، وعبدالله يونس الجبوري، ومحمد أسعد محمد إلى تنظيم داعش، وتورطهم في التخطيط لأعمال إرهابية تستهدف زعزعة الأمن والاستقرار وإثارة الفوضى بين المواطنين.
وأفادت بأن التحقيقات لا تزال مستمرة لكشف جميع المتورطين والمتعاونين مع الخلية، تمهيداً لإحالتهم إلى القضاء المختص واتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة بحقهم.
واستهدف تفجيران متزامنان بعبوتين ناسفتين، إحداهما داخل حاوية قمامة والثانية داخل سيارة مركونة على جانب الطريق، محيط فندق راقٍ أمضى فيه ماكرون ليلته خلال زيارته غير المسبوقة إلى دمشق.
وأسفر التفجيران عن مقتل شخص وإصابة 36 آخرين بجروح، وفق وزارة الصحة. ووقع التفجيران بعدما كان موكب الرئيس الفرنسي غادر الفندق في طريقه إلى القصر الرئاسي لعقد محادثات موسعة مع نظيره السوري أحمد الشرع.
وأشاد الشرع بـ«شجاعة» ماكرون بمواصلة زيارته. في حين، جدد ماكرون خلال الزيارة دعمه للسلطات السورية، معتبراً أنه لا ينبغي لهذه الهجمات أن «تزعزع» استقرار سورية.
The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced today (Monday) that the ongoing investigations with the members of the terrorist cell that was recently arrested, supported by the analysis of surveillance camera recordings and the confessions of the detainees, have proven their responsibility for the terrorist explosion that occurred in Damascus on July 7, following the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron.
The ministry clarified that the investigations revealed the affiliation of the detainees Diaa Shakir Al-Qasim, Abdullah Younis Al-Jubouri, and Muhammad As'ad Muhammad to ISIS, and their involvement in planning terrorist acts aimed at destabilizing security and stability and inciting chaos among citizens.
It reported that investigations are still ongoing to uncover all those involved and cooperating with the cell, in preparation for referring them to the competent judiciary and taking the necessary legal actions against them.
Two simultaneous explosions with explosive devices targeted a luxury hotel where Macron spent the night during his unprecedented visit to Damascus, one inside a garbage container and the other inside a parked car on the roadside.
The explosions resulted in the death of one person and injured 36 others, according to the Ministry of Health. The explosions occurred after the French president's convoy had left the hotel on its way to the presidential palace for extensive talks with his Syrian counterpart Ahmad Al-Shara.
Al-Shara praised Macron's "courage" in continuing his visit. Meanwhile, during the visit, Macron reiterated his support for the Syrian authorities, stating that these attacks should not "destabilize" Syria.
