أعلنت وزارة الدفاع اليمنية أن القوات المسلحة اليمنية استهدفت مدرج مطار صنعاء الدولي لمنع الطائرة الإيرانية من الهبوط في اليمن.
وقالت الوزارة في بيان مقتضب، اليوم (الإثنين)، "لقد منعت مليشيات الحوثي الإرهابية المدعومة من النظام الإيراني الطيران الوطني اليمني من الهبوط في مطار العاصمة صنعاء وأصر على أن ينتهك الإيراني أراضي اليمن ولهذا تم استهداف مدرج المطار".
وكان وزير الدفاع اليمني الفريق الركن الدكتور طاهر العقيلي أكد أن القوات المسلحة ستتصدى للطيران المعادي الذي ينتهك الأجواء والسيادة اليمنية بجميع الوسائل المتاحة.
وكشف العقيلي في بيان ألقاه اليوم، أن الحكومة اليمنية، بالتعاون مع المجتمع الإقليمي والدولي، حاولت بكل الوسائل القانونية والدبلوماسية إقناع النظام الإيراني ومليشيات الحوثي في صنعاء بالعودة إلى جادة الصواب وعدم اختراق الأجواء اليمنية بالطيران الإيراني. وأشار إلى أن هذا الاختراق ليس الأول، لكنه اختلف عن سابقيه بالتحدي للشرعية الدولية.
وقال العقيلي: «نفد الصبر، وعليه سنقوم بالرد المناسب على هذا العمل الغاشم الغادر ونتصدى للطيران المعادي الذي ينتهك الأجواء والسيادة اليمنية بجميع الوسائل المتاحة، حتى نلقن العدو درساً يسمع به القاصي والداني وتعلمه الأجيال القادمة». وأضاف: «ليعلم الجميع أن لليمن شعباً وقيادة تدافع عنه براً وبحراً وجواً مهما كانت العواقب». وحمّل النظام الإيراني المسؤولية الأخلاقية والقانونية الكاملة عن أي انتهاك للأجواء اليمنية، مؤكداً أن استمرار ما وصفه بالتدخلات الإيرانية ودعم الحوثيين يقوض أمن اليمن ويهدد استقرار المنطقة.
The Yemeni Ministry of Defense announced that the Yemeni armed forces targeted the runway of Sana'a International Airport to prevent the Iranian plane from landing in Yemen.
The ministry stated in a brief statement today (Monday), "The Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias prevented the Yemeni national airline from landing at the capital's airport in Sana'a and insisted that the Iranian violate Yemeni territory, which is why the airport runway was targeted."
The Yemeni Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Dr. Taher Al-Aqili, confirmed that the armed forces will confront hostile aircraft that violate Yemeni airspace and sovereignty by all available means.
Al-Aqili revealed in a statement he delivered today that the Yemeni government, in cooperation with the regional and international community, has tried by all legal and diplomatic means to convince the Iranian regime and the Houthi militias in Sana'a to return to the right path and not to violate Yemeni airspace with Iranian aircraft. He pointed out that this violation is not the first, but it differs from previous ones in its challenge to international legitimacy.
Al-Aqili said: "Patience has run out, and therefore we will respond appropriately to this treacherous and brutal act and confront the hostile aircraft that violate Yemeni airspace and sovereignty by all available means, until we teach the enemy a lesson that will be heard by all and learned by future generations." He added: "Everyone should know that Yemen has a people and leadership that defend it by land, sea, and air, no matter the consequences." He held the Iranian regime fully morally and legally responsible for any violation of Yemeni airspace, emphasizing that the continuation of what he described as Iranian interventions and support for the Houthis undermines Yemen's security and threatens the stability of the region.
