في تأكيد جديد على سلوكها الإرهابي، احتجزت مليشيا الحوثي طائرة اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر الدولي في مطار صنعاء ومنعت مغادرتها، واحتجزت الطيار ومساعده كرهينتين، في تصعيد خطير وانتهاك سافر للقانون الدولي الإنساني ولكافة الأعراف والمواثيق الدولية التي تكفل حماية البعثات الإنسانية والعاملين فيها.
وأكد وزير الإعلام اليمني معمر الإرياني، اليوم الإثنين، أن هذا السلوك الإجرامي يؤكد مجدداً أن المليشيا لا تعترف بأي التزامات قانونية أو إنسانية، وأنها لا تتردد في استخدام المؤسسات الإنسانية وموظفيها كأدوات للابتزاز والضغط السياسي، غير آبهة بما يترتب على ذلك من تقويض للعمل الإنساني وتعريض حياة المدنيين والمحتاجين للمساعدات للخطر.
ودعا اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر، والأمم المتحدة، والمجتمع الدولي إلى إدانة هذه الجريمة، والتحرك العاجل للإفراج الفوري عن الطائرة وطاقمها، ومحاسبة المسؤولين عنها، ووضع حد للانتهاكات المتواصلة التي ترتكبها المليشيا بحق العمل الإنساني في اليمن.

Yemeni Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani confirmed today, Monday, that this criminal behavior once again demonstrates that the militia does not recognize any legal or humanitarian obligations and does not hesitate to use humanitarian institutions and their staff as tools for extortion and political pressure, regardless of the consequences for humanitarian work and the danger it poses to the lives of civilians and those in need of assistance.
He called on the International Committee of the Red Cross, the United Nations, and the international community to condemn this crime, to take urgent action for the immediate release of the plane and its crew, to hold those responsible accountable, and to put an end to the ongoing violations committed by the militia against humanitarian work in Yemen.
