بعد ساعات من التناقض في التصريحات التي أطلقها مسؤولون إيرانيون، أعلنت وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية اليوم (الإثنين) أن وفداً سيزور قطر لمتابعة تنفيذ بنود مذكرة التفاهم مع الولايات المتحدة.
وأكّدت الخارجية الإيرانية أن الوفد سيناقش تنفيذ بنود مذكرة التفاهم لا سيما قضية الأموال المجمدة، مؤكدة أن وفدها لن يعقد أي اجتماعات تفاوضية على أي مستوى مع الجانب الأمريكي في الأيام القادمة.
وأشارت إلى أن زيارة الممثلين الأمريكيين إلى قطر لا علاقة لها بزيارة الوفد الإيراني، مبينة أنهم يركزون على تنفيذ بنود مذكرة التفاهم.
وشدّدت الوزارة على أنهم لم يدخلوا بعد مرحلة التفاوض على اتفاق نهائي، معتبرة أن بدء مفاوضات الاتفاق النهائي رهن ببدء تنفيذ المواد 1 و4 و5 و10 و11 واستمرار تنفيذها.
وذكرت أن الزيارة إلى الدوحة لمتابعة تنفيذ البندين الخاصين برفع عقوبات النفط وبالأموال المجمدة.
وكان مسؤول في البيت الأبيض قد قال إن المبعوثين الأمريكيين ستيف ويتكوف وجاريد كوشنر سيلتقيان رئيس الوزراء وزير الخارجية القطري الشيخ محمد بن عبدالرحمن غداً (الثلاثاء)، لبحث ملف المفاوضات مع إيران، موضحاً أنه من المنتظر أن تعقد الفرق الفنية الأمريكية والإيرانية اجتماعات منفصلة مع الوسطاء القطريين والباكستانيين (الأربعاء)، بحسب موقع «أكسيوس».
بدوره، أعلن نائب وزير الخارجية الإيراني كاظم غريب آبادي أن بلاده وحدها ستتولى عملية إزالة الألغام من مضيق هرمز بحسب مذكرة التفاهم، موضحاً أن بلاده لن تشارك أي دولة في إزالة ألغام هرمز ولن تسمح بذلك من حيث المبدأ.
واعتبر آبادي أن الوضع في مضيق هرمز حساس ومعقد، محذراً فرنسا بشدة بعدم تعقيده باستفزازاتها، على حد زعمه.
After hours of contradictory statements made by Iranian officials, the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced today (Monday) that a delegation will visit Qatar to follow up on the implementation of the memorandum of understanding with the United States.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the delegation will discuss the implementation of the memorandum's provisions, particularly the issue of frozen funds, emphasizing that its delegation will not hold any negotiating meetings at any level with the American side in the coming days.
It pointed out that the visit of American representatives to Qatar is unrelated to the visit of the Iranian delegation, indicating that they are focused on implementing the provisions of the memorandum of understanding.
The ministry stressed that they have not yet entered the negotiation phase for a final agreement, considering that the start of negotiations for the final agreement is contingent upon the commencement of the implementation of Articles 1, 4, 5, 10, and 11 and the continuation of their implementation.
It mentioned that the visit to Doha is to follow up on the two provisions related to lifting oil sanctions and the frozen funds.
A White House official stated that American envoys Steve Wietcov and Jared Kushner will meet with the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman tomorrow (Tuesday) to discuss the negotiations with Iran, clarifying that it is expected that the American and Iranian technical teams will hold separate meetings with the Qatari and Pakistani mediators (Wednesday), according to Axios.
For his part, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharib Abadi announced that his country alone will undertake the mine clearance operation in the Strait of Hormuz according to the memorandum of understanding, explaining that his country will not share the task of clearing mines in Hormuz with any other country and will not allow it in principle.
Abadi considered the situation in the Strait of Hormuz to be sensitive and complex, warning France strongly against complicating it with its provocations, as he claimed.
