في كابوس مفجع ألقى بظلاله المظلمة على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، تحولت رحلة البحث عن الرشاقة السريعة إلى مأساة مميتة، بعدما خطفت «حقنة تخسيس» شهيرة حياة طالبة شابة عربية في مقتبل العمر داخل مقر سكنها الجامعي في العاصمة البريطانية لندن.
بدلاً من أن تحتفل الشابة المصرية جوزفين نصر (19 عاماً) بمستقبلها الواعد، وجدت نفسها في صراع أخير مع الموت بعد ساعتين فقط من تعاطيها عقار «مونجارو» (Mounjaro) الشهير لإنقاص الوزن، لتنتهي حكايتها ببلاغ طوارئ وباب جامعي مكسور.
وبدأت تفاصيل الفاجعة عندما تملك الوجع والغثيان الشديد جسد جوزفين أثناء تواجدها بالحرم الجامعي، لتسارع بالاتصال بعائلتها مستنجدة من آلام بطنها ورغبتها المستمرة في القيء. ومع تصاعد القلق العائلي، تحركت الأم لطلب رعاية صحية خاصة، بينما استعان الأهل بأمن الجامعة للاطمئنان على ابنتهم.
لكن المفاجأة الصادمة انتظرت الجميع عند شقة الطالبة، فطرقات الأمن المتكررة قوبلت بصمت مخيف، مما اضطرهم لكسر الباب عنوة، لتُصدم الأبصار بوجود الشابة ملقاة بلا حراك على أرضية الحمام. وعلى الفور، هرعت طواقم الإسعاف البريطاني محاولة إنقاذ الشابة، إلا أن الأوان كان قد فات، ليُعلن رحيلها في موقع الحادثة، وتعثر الشرطة بجانبها على قارورة فارغة للعقار القاتل.
وكشفت تقارير الطب الشرعي والتحقيقات لاحقاً عن مفاجأة مرعبة، فقد تبين أن جوزفين كانت تعاني من حالة قلبية خلقية صامتة تُعرف بـ«الجسر العضلي القلبي»، والتي تسببت (بالتكامل مع الهبوط الحاد في السكر واختلال الأملاح الذي أحدثته الحقنة) في اضطراب قاتل ومدمر لنظم ضربات القلب أنهى حياتها فجأة. والأمر الأكثر ألماً، هو أن مؤشر كتلة جسم الفتاة لم يكن يعاني من سمنة مفرطة تستدعي هذا الإجراء من الأساس، بل مجرد زيادة طفيفة في الوزن، غير أن الوصفة الطبية التي حصلت عليها مسبقاً من الولايات المتحدة تحولت إلى فخ مميت.
وأثارت الواقعة هزة واسعة وتحذيرات عارمة من الأطباء والمفكرين ضد الاستخدام العشوائي والمستهتر لحقن التخسيس لأغراض تجميلية بحتة. فقد نعتها الطبيب والمفكر خالد منتصر بكلمات تعتصر حزناً: «هذه صدمة.. جوزفين لم تفحص جيداً قبل تناول حقنة المونجارو، ووفاتها تفتح الباب للاستعمال العشوائي لتلك الحقن».
فيما جدد استشاري أمراض القلب الدكتور جمال شعبان تحذيراته الصارمة من الآثار الجانبية المدمرة لهذه العقاقير المخصصة أصلاً لمرضى السكري، مؤكداً أن التهاون في تناولها بحثاً عن الرشاقة الفورية دون تقييم دقيق وشامل للقلب والأيض يعادل اللعب بالنار، في رسالة تحذيرية مدوية لكل من يسترخص حياته في سبيل جسد مثالي مزيف.

Instead of celebrating her promising future, the young Egyptian Josephine Nasr (19 years old) found herself in a final struggle with death just two hours after taking the well-known weight loss drug "Mounjaro," ending her story with an emergency call and a broken university door.
The details of the tragedy began when severe pain and nausea overwhelmed Josephine's body while she was on campus, prompting her to call her family, pleading for help due to her abdominal pain and persistent urge to vomit. As family concern escalated, her mother sought private healthcare, while the family called on campus security to check on their daughter.
But the shocking surprise awaited everyone at the student's apartment, as repeated knocks from security were met with eerie silence, forcing them to break down the door, only to be met with the sight of the young woman lying motionless on the bathroom floor. Immediately, British ambulance crews rushed in to try to save her, but it was too late, and her passing was declared at the scene, with police finding an empty bottle of the deadly drug beside her.
Subsequent forensic reports and investigations revealed a horrifying surprise: it turned out that Josephine had been suffering from a silent congenital heart condition known as "cardiac muscle bridge," which, in conjunction with the severe drop in sugar and electrolyte imbalance caused by the injection, led to a fatal and devastating disruption of her heart rhythm that ended her life suddenly. The most painful part is that the girl's body mass index did not indicate severe obesity that would warrant such a procedure; rather, she only had a slight weight increase, yet the prescription she had previously obtained from the United States turned into a deadly trap.
The incident sparked widespread shock and overwhelming warnings from doctors and thinkers against the reckless and random use of weight loss injections for purely cosmetic purposes. Doctor and thinker Khaled Montaser described it with words filled with sorrow: "This is shocking... Josephine did not undergo a thorough examination before taking the Mounjaro injection, and her death opens the door to the random use of these injections."
Meanwhile, cardiology consultant Dr. Jamal Shaaban renewed his stern warnings about the devastating side effects of these drugs, which are originally intended for diabetic patients, emphasizing that being careless in taking them in search of immediate fitness without a precise and comprehensive evaluation of the heart and metabolism is akin to playing with fire, in a resounding warning message to anyone who cheapens their life in pursuit of a false ideal body.
