حذر رئيس البرلمان العربي محمد بن أحمد اليماحي من المخاطر التي تواجه الأمن القومي العربي في ظل التطورات المتسارعة التي تشهدها المنطقة، مؤكدًا أن البرلمانات العربية تتحمل مسؤولية تاريخية في توحيد المواقف ودعم جهود الدول العربية لحماية أمنها وسيادتها والتصدي لمخططات تصفية القضية الفلسطينية.
جاء ذلك خلال كلمته في افتتاح أعمال المؤتمر الثامن للبرلمان العربي ورؤساء المجالس والبرلمانات العربية، الذي يعقد بمقر الأمانة العامة لجامعة الدول العربية في القاهرة، بالشراكة مع الاتحاد البرلماني العربي، لمناقشة أبرز التحديات السياسية والأمنية والتكنولوجية التي تواجه المنطقة.
وأكد اليماحي أن القضية الفلسطينية ستظل القضية المركزية للأمة العربية، مشددًا على أن ما يتعرض له الشعب الفلسطيني في قطاع غزة والضفة الغربية، إلى جانب الاعتداءات المتواصلة على المقدسات الإسلامية والمسيحية في القدس، ومحاولات تغيير الوضع التاريخي والقانوني للمدينة وطمس هويتها العربية، يأتي ضمن مخططات ممنهجة تستهدف تصفية القضية الفلسطينية وفرض واقع جديد على الأرض المحتلة.
وأضاف أن الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية على لبنان وسورية، إلى جانب التدخلات التي تستهدف جمهورية الصومال الفيدرالية، تمثل تصعيدًا خطيرًا يهدد أمن المنطقة واستقرارها، داعيًا إلى موقف عربي أكثر وحدة وفاعلية لمواجهة هذه التحديات.
وفي سياق متصل، تناول رئيس البرلمان العربي التطورات الأمنية الأخيرة في المنطقة، معتبرًا أن الاعتداءات الإيرانية التي استهدفت عددًا من الدول العربية تمثل انتهاكًا صارخًا لسيادة الدول وسلامة أراضيها، وخرقًا للقانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة، فضلًا عن كونها تهديدًا مباشرًا للأمن القومي العربي والاستقرار الإقليمي.
وشدد على أن أي اتفاق نهائي ودائم بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران ينبغي أن يراعي بصورة كاملة المصالح والشواغل الأمنية للدول العربية، ولا سيما دول الخليج، بما يسهم في ترسيخ الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
وفي محور آخر، أكد اليماحي أن التحولات الرقمية المتسارعة جعلت بناء سيادة رقمية عربية راسخة ضرورة إستراتيجية لا تقل أهمية عن الأمن العسكري والسياسي، مشيرًا إلى أن حماية البيانات الوطنية، وتأمين البنية التحتية الرقمية، وتعزيز الأمن السيبراني، وتوطين التكنولوجيا، وبناء اقتصاد رقمي عربي قادر على المنافسة، أصبحت جميعها ركائز أساسية للأمن القومي العربي في المرحلة القادمة.
واختتم رئيس البرلمان العربي بالتأكيد على أن وحدة الصف العربي ستظل الضمانة الأساسية لمواجهة التحديات الإقليمية والدولية، داعيًا البرلمانات العربية إلى مواصلة التنسيق والعمل المشترك لدعم استقرار الدول العربية والدفاع عن مصالحها وقضاياها المصيرية.
The President of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, warned of the risks facing Arab national security amid the rapid developments in the region, emphasizing that Arab parliaments bear a historical responsibility to unify positions and support the efforts of Arab countries to protect their security and sovereignty and to confront the schemes aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause.
This came during his speech at the opening of the eighth conference of the Arab Parliament and the heads of Arab councils and parliaments, which is being held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo, in partnership with the Arab Parliamentary Union, to discuss the most prominent political, security, and technological challenges facing the region.
Al-Yamahi affirmed that the Palestinian cause will remain the central issue for the Arab nation, stressing that what the Palestinian people are facing in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, along with the ongoing assaults on Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem, and attempts to change the historical and legal status of the city and erase its Arab identity, are part of systematic schemes targeting the liquidation of the Palestinian cause and imposing a new reality on the occupied land.
He added that the Israeli assaults on Lebanon and Syria, along with the interventions targeting the Federal Republic of Somalia, represent a serious escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region, calling for a more unified and effective Arab stance to confront these challenges.
In a related context, the President of the Arab Parliament addressed the recent security developments in the region, considering that the Iranian assaults targeting several Arab countries represent a blatant violation of the sovereignty of these countries and the integrity of their territories, a breach of international law and the United Nations Charter, as well as a direct threat to Arab national security and regional stability.
He stressed that any final and permanent agreement between the United States and Iran should fully take into account the interests and security concerns of Arab countries, especially the Gulf states, in a way that contributes to consolidating security and stability in the region.
On another note, Al-Yamahi confirmed that the rapid digital transformations have made the establishment of a solid Arab digital sovereignty a strategic necessity no less important than military and political security, pointing out that protecting national data, securing digital infrastructure, enhancing cybersecurity, localizing technology, and building a competitive Arab digital economy have all become fundamental pillars of Arab national security in the coming phase.
The President of the Arab Parliament concluded by affirming that Arab unity will remain the essential guarantee for confronting regional and international challenges, calling on Arab parliaments to continue coordination and joint work to support the stability of Arab countries and defend their interests and vital issues.
