أعلنت هيئة عمليات التجارة البحرية البريطانية اليوم (الخميس)، أنها تلقت بلاغاً عن حادث على بعد 7.5 ميل بحري جنوب شرقي سلطنة عُمان.
وذكرت الهيئة أن سفينة شحن أُصيبت في جانبها الأيمن بقذيفة مجهولة، ما تسبب في أضرار بجسر القيادة، وأفادت بأن ربان السفينة أكد عدم وقوع إصابات أو تأثير بيئي جراء الحادث.
وأشارت الهيئة إلى أن السلطات تحقق في الواقعة، داعية السفن إلى العبور بحذر، والإبلاغ عن أي نشاط مشبوه.
وأفادت وكالة بلومبرغ أن 3 سفن عادت أدراجها بعد محاولتها الخروج من مضيق هرمز عبر المسار المحاذي لعُمان.
في غضون ذلك، أوضح وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي، اليوم، أنه أجرى اتصالاً مثمراً مع نظيره العُماني بدر البوسعيدي، بحثا خلاله مستقبل الإدارة والخدمات البحرية في مضيق هرمز.
وكتب عراقجي، على منصة «إكس»: إن إيران وسلطنة عُمان ستجريان حواراً لتحديد مستقبل الإدارة والخدمات البحرية في المضيق، مشيراً إلى أن طهران «عازمة» على المضي في هذا المسار.
وأضاف: «سنفعل ذلك من خلال الحوار مع جيراننا».
وكان نائب الرئيس الأمريكي جي دي فانس قد أشار إلى أن المفاوضات بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران في سويسرا انتهت بإنشاء قناة اتصال بين الطرفين.
The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority announced today (Thursday) that it received a report of an incident 7.5 nautical miles southeast of the Sultanate of Oman.
The authority stated that a cargo ship was hit on its starboard side by an unknown projectile, causing damage to the bridge. It reported that the ship's captain confirmed there were no injuries or environmental impact resulting from the incident.
The authority indicated that the authorities are investigating the incident, urging vessels to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity.
Bloomberg reported that three ships turned back after attempting to exit the Strait of Hormuz via the route adjacent to Oman.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi clarified today that he had a fruitful phone call with his Omani counterpart Badr al-Busaidi, during which they discussed the future of maritime management and services in the Strait of Hormuz.
Araghchi wrote on the platform "X": that Iran and the Sultanate of Oman will engage in dialogue to determine the future of management and maritime services in the strait, noting that Tehran is "determined" to proceed on this path.
He added: "We will do this through dialogue with our neighbors."
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance had indicated that negotiations between the United States and Iran in Switzerland concluded with the establishment of a communication channel between the two parties.
