يتابع رئيس الوزراء اليمني الدكتور شائع الزنداني باهتمام كبير حادث اغتيال مراسل قناتَي «العربية» و«الحدث» الصحفي محمد عيضة، إثر انفجار عبوة ناسفة استهدفت سيارته في مدينة المكلا بمحافظة حضرموت.
وأجرى رئيس الحكومة اتصالاً هاتفياً مع وزير الداخلية اللواء ابراهيم حيدان والجهات المعنية، للاطلاع على ملابسات الحادث والإجراءات المتخذة من قبل الأجهزة الأمنية المختصة، موجهاً وزارة الداخلية والأجهزة الأمنية المختصة بتقديم كل أوجه الدعم والإسناد لجهود التحقيق الجارية، وتسخير الإمكانات اللازمة لكشف الجناة والمتورطين في هذا العمل الإجرامي وتقديمهم للعدالة لينالوا جزاءهم الرادع، مشدداً على أن استهداف الصحفيين والإعلاميين يمثل اعتداءً على قيم المجتمع وحرية العمل الإعلامي وسيادة القانون، مؤكداً في الوقت ذاته حرص الحكومة على توفير البيئة الآمنة التي تمكن الصحفيين من أداء رسالتهم المهنية، معتبراً أن الجريمة عمل إرهابي ويجب أن تصل يد العدالة إلى مرتكبيه على وجه السرعة، معربا عن خالص تعازيه ومواساته إلى أسرة الفقيد وزملائه في الوسط الإعلامي، سائلاً الله تعالى أن يتغمده بواسع رحمته ويسكنه فسيح جناته، وأن يلهم أهله وذويه الصبر والسلوان.
The Yemeni Prime Minister Dr. Sha'if Al-Zandani is closely following the assassination of the correspondent for the channels "Al-Arabiya" and "Al-Hadath," journalist Muhammad Aida, following the explosion of a bomb that targeted his car in the city of Mukalla in Hadhramaut Governorate.
The Prime Minister made a phone call to Interior Minister Major General Ibrahim Haidan and the relevant authorities to inquire about the circumstances of the incident and the measures taken by the concerned security agencies. He directed the Ministry of Interior and the relevant security agencies to provide all forms of support and assistance to the ongoing investigation efforts, and to utilize the necessary resources to uncover the perpetrators and those involved in this criminal act and bring them to justice to face appropriate punishment. He emphasized that targeting journalists and media professionals constitutes an assault on the values of society, the freedom of media work, and the rule of law. At the same time, he affirmed the government's commitment to providing a safe environment that enables journalists to carry out their professional mission, considering the crime an act of terrorism that must be swiftly addressed by justice. He expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased and his colleagues in the media community, asking Allah Almighty to envelop him in His vast mercy and grant him a place in His spacious gardens, and to inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.
