فيما قتلت غارات إسرائيلية على جنوب لبنان 3 أشخاص، بينهم بطل عالمي، أكد رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو، (الخميس)، أن جيشه لن ينسحب من جنوب لبنان طالما أن الحاجات الأمنية لإسرائيل تقتضي ذلك.
وهدد نتنياهو بالاستمرار في الحرب في جنوب لبنان، قائلاً: «يتطلب الحفاظ على المنطقة الأمنية في لبنان وعلينا ألا ننسحب من هناك»، مضيفاً: «أمامنا تحديات إضافية تتطلب التمسك بالمصالح الأمنية والحفاظ على العلاقة مع أصدقائنا الأمريكيين».
وأشار إلى أنه لن يكون لإيران سلاح نووي ما دام هو رئيس حكومة إسرائيل. وواصلت إسرائيل غاراتها على الجنوب اللبناني رغم توقيع مذكرة التفاهم بين إيران وأمريكا، والتي نصت على وقف القتال على كافة الجبهات بما فيها لبنان.
وأكدت وكالة الوطنية للأنباء مقتل 3 أشخاص بغارات إسرائيلية اليوم، على بلدات في الجنوب اللبناني بينها علي الطاهر وكفرتبنيت، كما قتل شخصان بغارة من مسيّرة إسرائيلية استهدفت سيارة في بلدة كفرتبنيت.
وأوضحت أن أحد القتلى مغترب عاد من دولة الغابون، والآخر بطل عالمي في بطولات الدراجات وحائز على ميداليات عالمية، مشيرة إلى أنهما دخلا القرية لتفقدها. كذلك قتل شاب في بلدة زبدين في غارة لمسيّرة استهدفته فجراً. وأعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي مقتل أحد جنوده وإصابة سبعة آخرين أثناء القتال في جنوب لبنان.
من جهتها، أعلنت وزارة الصحة اللبنانية، في إحصائية جديدة مقتل 3912 شخصاً وإصابة 11873 آخرين، جراء الغارات الإسرائيلية على لبنان، منذ 2 مارس الماضي.
وذكر الجيش الإسرائيلي أنه سيواصل عملياته في جنوب لبنان، خصوصاً في المنطقة الأمنية التي تمتد نحو 10 كيلومترات داخل الأراضي اللبنانية.
As Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon killed 3 people, including a world champion, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed on Thursday that his army would not withdraw from southern Lebanon as long as Israel's security needs require it.
Netanyahu threatened to continue the war in southern Lebanon, stating: "Maintaining the security zone in Lebanon requires that we do not withdraw from there," adding, "We face additional challenges that require us to adhere to security interests and maintain our relationship with our American friends."
He indicated that Iran would not have nuclear weapons as long as he is the Prime Minister of Israel. Israel continued its airstrikes on southern Lebanon despite the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, which stipulated a cessation of fighting on all fronts, including Lebanon.
The National News Agency confirmed the death of 3 people in Israeli airstrikes today, targeting towns in southern Lebanon, including Ali al-Tahir and Kfar Tebnit. Additionally, two people were killed in a strike from an Israeli drone that targeted a car in the town of Kfar Tebnit.
It was clarified that one of the deceased was an expatriate who had returned from Gabon, and the other was a world champion in cycling competitions and a holder of world medals, noting that they had entered the village to check on it. A young man was also killed in the town of Zabdine in a drone strike that targeted him at dawn. The Israeli army announced the death of one of its soldiers and the injury of seven others during the fighting in southern Lebanon.
For its part, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced in a new statistic that 3,912 people have been killed and 11,873 others injured as a result of Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon since March 2.
The Israeli army stated that it would continue its operations in southern Lebanon, particularly in the security zone that extends about 10 kilometers into Lebanese territory.
