Lebanese Foreign Minister Joseph Raji confirmed today (Wednesday) that Lebanon is facing extremely difficult circumstances as a result of a war imposed on it to serve an external agenda.

Raji stated during a hearing before the Foreign Affairs Committee in the French Parliament that the ongoing negotiations are "exclusively managed by the Lebanese state and for the benefit of Lebanon," considering that the diplomatic path is the only option for achieving sustainable solutions.

In response to questions from French lawmakers, the Lebanese Foreign Minister said: "Hezbollah's weapon has lost its justification, and the Lebanese state is moving forward to confine weapons to itself and assert its sovereignty over all its territory."

He noted that he accepted the invitation from the Foreign Affairs Committee in the French Parliament to attend a two-hour hearing, which was attended by the committee's chairman and several lawmakers from various French parties.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army carried out a series of intensive airstrikes on the Tyre district and villages in southern Lebanon, in addition to towns in the western Bekaa region of the country today.

The Israeli army issued new evacuation orders for residents in areas of the Sidon and Nabatieh districts, and according to medical sources, the airstrikes resulted in the deaths of 6 people and injuries to others, while several individuals are still missing under the rubble.

In the meantime, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened to continue working firmly against Iran and its proxies, considering them a threat to stability in the Middle East and the international arena.
