امتداداً للدور الإنساني والريادي الذي تضطلع به المملكة العربية السعودية في مساندة الشعب اليمني، وزّع مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية، ستة أطنان من السلال الغذائية الطارئة لأهالي جزيرة «ميون» التابعة لمحافظة تعز، ضمن المرحلة الثانية من مشروع الدعم الغذائي الطارئ.
كسر العزلة الجغرافية
واستهدفت المساعدات الإغاثية العاجلة 200 أسرة من الأسر الأشد احتياجاً والأكثر تضرراً في الجزيرة؛ للتخفيف من معاناتها جراء الأزمة الإنسانية الراهنة، وسعياً من المركز لتخطي التحديات الجغرافية والوصول بالدعم إلى المناطق النائية والجزر المعزولة.
تثمين للدعم السعودي
من جانبهم، أعرب أبناء جزيرة ميون عن بالغ شكرهم وتقديرهم للمملكة العربية السعودية قيادة وشعباً، مثمنين الدعم الإنساني والإغاثي المستمر الذي تقدمه المملكة عبر ذراعها الإنسانية «مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة» للشعب اليمني في مختلف المحافظات، ومؤكدين أن هذا الدعم المقدم أسهم بشكل فاعل وحيوي في سدّ الاحتياجات الأساسية للأهالي في الجزيرة وتخفيف الأعباء المعيشية عن كاهلهم.
Continuing the humanitarian and pioneering role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting the Yemeni people, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed six tons of emergency food baskets to the residents of "Miyon" Island, which is part of Taiz Governorate, as part of the second phase of the emergency food support project.
Breaking the Geographical Isolation
The urgent relief assistance targeted 200 families among the most needy and affected on the island, to alleviate their suffering due to the ongoing humanitarian crisis, and as part of the center's efforts to overcome geographical challenges and deliver support to remote areas and isolated islands.
Appreciation for Saudi Support
The residents of Miyon Island expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, both leadership and people, valuing the continuous humanitarian and relief support provided by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, the "King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center," to the Yemeni people in various governorates. They confirmed that this support has effectively and vital contributed to meeting the basic needs of the residents on the island and alleviating their living burdens.
