كشفت وزيرة الجيوش الفرنسية أن الجنود تعرضوا لكمين من مسافة قريبة جداً نفذته مجموعة مسلحة جنوب لبنان، مؤكدة أن الجندي الفرنسي قُتل بإطلاق نار مباشر خلال الهجوم.

وأفادت قوات «اليونيفيل» بمقتل جندي وإصابة ثلاثة آخرين، اثنان منهم في حالة حرجة، إثر تعرض دورية لإطلاق نار أثناء تنفيذ مهامها في الجنوب.
اتهامات مباشرة لـ«حزب الله»
في تصعيد سياسي لافت، أكد الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون أن جميع المؤشرات تشير إلى مسؤولية «حزب الله» عن الهجوم، مطالباً السلطات اللبنانية بالتحرك الفوري للقبض على المتورطين وتحمل مسؤولياتها كاملة.
تحرك لبناني وفتح تحقيق
من جهته، أعلن الجيش اللبناني بدء تحقيق عاجل لكشف ملابسات الحادثة، مشيراً إلى العمل على توقيف المتورطين، في وقت سجلت فيه إصابات إضافية في صفوف «اليونيفيل» نتيجة تبادل إطلاق النار مع مسلحين في بلدة الغندورية.
توتر ميداني وقصف إسرائيلي
بالتزامن مع الحادثة، أفادت تقارير ميدانية بوقوع قصف مدفعي إسرائيلي في القطاع الأوسط جنوب لبنان، ما يعكس اتساع رقعة التوتر وتداخل المسارات العسكرية في المنطقة.
رسائل سياسية وضغط دولي
وفي خطوة دبلوماسية، قدم الرئيس اللبناني جوزاف عون تعازيه لنظيره الفرنسي، في محاولة لاحتواء الأزمة، وسط ضغوط دولية متزايدة لضبط الوضع الأمني ومنع انزلاقه نحو تصعيد أوسع.

The French Minister of the Armed Forces revealed that the soldiers were ambushed from a very close distance by an armed group in southern Lebanon, confirming that the French soldier was killed by direct gunfire during the attack.

UNIFIL reported that one soldier was killed and three others were injured, two of whom are in critical condition, after a patrol came under gunfire while carrying out its duties in the south.

In a notable political escalation, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that all indicators point to "Hezbollah" being responsible for the attack, calling on Lebanese authorities to take immediate action to arrest those involved and to fully assume their responsibilities.

For its part, the Lebanese Army announced the initiation of an urgent investigation to uncover the circumstances of the incident, indicating that efforts are underway to apprehend those involved, while additional injuries were recorded among UNIFIL personnel due to exchanges of gunfire with militants in the town of Al-Ghandouriya.

Coinciding with the incident, field reports indicated that Israeli artillery shelling occurred in the central sector of southern Lebanon, reflecting the widening scope of tension and the overlap of military pathways in the region.
