أكد الرئيس اللبناني جوزيف عون اليوم (الإثنين) أن المفاوضات الجارية حالياً تتركز على التوصل إلى اتفاق عدم اعتداء مع إسرائيل، موضحاً أنه لن يلتقي رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو قبل التوصل إلى اتفاق ينهي الحرب.
وقال عون لشبكة «سي إن إن»: «نقول للحكومة الإسرائيلية إن الحل العسكري لن يوفر الأمن لشمال إسرائيل أبداً»، موضحاً أن بلاده لا تملك خياراً سوى المفاوضات.
وأضاف: «نحاول الاستفادة من اهتمام الرئيس ترمب بإنهاء هذا الصراع»، لافتاً إلى أن المطروح حالياً هو اتفاق عدم اعتداء أو اتفاق أمني، أما في ما يتعلق باتفاق سلام فإننا جزء من المبادرة العربية.

وكان رئيس الوزراء اللبناني نواف سلام قد قال في وقت سابق اليوم إن إسرائيل شنت نحو 3500 غارة جوية على لبنان ومئات التفجيرات منذ أن أعلنت الولايات المتحدة وقف إطلاق النار في 16 أبريل.
وقال سلام عقب اجتماع مجلس الوزراء: «نفذت إسرائيل خلال الفترة من 17 أبريل إلى 7 يونيو 3491 غارة جوية، و407 عمليات هدم، و6 عمليات تجريف سوّت قرىً بأكملها بالأرض في أقصى جنوب لبنان»، موضحاً أن لبنان يسعى جاهداً للحفاظ على وقف إطلاق النار، لكن أحدث تصعيد بين إيران وإسرائيل تسبب في موجات نزوح جديدة، ما أدى إلى ضغط هائل على قدرة لبنان على استيعاب العائلات النازحة.
ودخل وقف إطلاق النار، الذي توسطت فيه الولايات المتحدة، حيز التنفيذ بعد منتصف ليل 17 أبريل، فيما لا تزال القوات الإسرائيلية تحتل مناطق واسعة في جنوب لبنان.
ونزح أكثر من مليون شخص، أي ما يعادل خُمس سكان لبنان، بسبب الغارات الإسرائيلية وأوامر الإخلاء في مختلف أنحاء البلاد منذ اندلاع الحرب الأخيرة في 2 مارس الماضي.
The Lebanese President Joseph Aoun confirmed today (Monday) that the ongoing negotiations are focused on reaching a non-aggression agreement with Israel, clarifying that he will not meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before reaching an agreement that ends the war.
Aoun told CNN: "We tell the Israeli government that the military solution will never provide security for northern Israel," explaining that his country has no option but negotiations.
He added: "We are trying to take advantage of President Trump's interest in ending this conflict," noting that what is currently proposed is a non-aggression agreement or a security agreement, while regarding a peace agreement, we are part of the Arab initiative.

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam had earlier stated today that Israel has carried out about 3,500 airstrikes on Lebanon and hundreds of explosions since the United States announced a ceasefire on April 16.
Salam said after a Cabinet meeting: "Israel conducted 3,491 airstrikes, 407 demolitions, and 6 land leveling operations that flattened entire villages in southern Lebanon from April 17 to June 7," explaining that Lebanon is striving to maintain the ceasefire, but the latest escalation between Iran and Israel has caused new waves of displacement, leading to immense pressure on Lebanon's capacity to accommodate displaced families.
The U.S.-brokered ceasefire came into effect after midnight on April 17, while Israeli forces still occupy vast areas in southern Lebanon.
More than one million people, equivalent to one-fifth of Lebanon's population, have been displaced due to Israeli airstrikes and evacuation orders across the country since the outbreak of the last war on March 2.
