لقي شخصان مصرعهما جراء فيضانات مفاجئة تسببت بها أمطار غزيرة اجتاحت ولاية ويست فرجينيا الأمريكية، وفق ما أعلنه مكتب حاكم الولاية.
ولم تكشف السلطات عن هوية الضحيتين أو تفاصيل وفاتهما، فيما تُعد الحالتان أول وفيات مؤكّدة ناجمة عن الفيضانات التي أعقبت هطول أمطار وصل معدلها إلى نحو 18 سنتيمترًا في بعض المناطق.
Two people have died as a result of sudden flooding caused by heavy rains that swept through the state of West Virginia, according to the state's governor's office.
The authorities have not disclosed the identities of the victims or the details of their deaths, while these cases are the first confirmed fatalities resulting from the flooding that followed rainfall amounts reaching about 18 centimeters in some areas.
