انطلاقاً من حرص المملكة العربية السعودية التاريخي تجاه اليمن، وامتداداً لجسور العطاء الإنساني والتنموي التي يمدها البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن؛ زار وفد من البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن، برئاسة علي عبدالله الدوسري، هيئة مستشفى شبوة العام بمدينة عتق، واطلع على جودة الخدمات الطبية المجانية ومتابعة سير العمل في هذا الصرح الطبي الذي يحظى برعاية وتشغيل كاملين من قِبل البرنامج.
تثمين الدور السعودي
وكان في استقبال الوفد لدى وصوله مدير عام الهيئة الدكتور حسين الطويل، و حضور عدد من المسؤولين بالمحافظة، واستمع الوفد إلى شرح مفصل حول الآليات التشغيلية للمستشفى، وما حققه من طفرة نوعية في تقديم الرعاية الصحية لأبناء شبوة والمحافظات المجاورة.
من جانبه، أعرب الطويل عن بالغ تقديره للدعم السخي المقدم من حكومة خادم الحرمين الشريفين وولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء، مؤكداً أن البرنامج السعودي بات يمثل «الشريان التنموي الأبرز» في المحافظة.
وأشاد بالنتائج الملموسة التي انعكست إيجاباً على حياة آلاف المستفيدين.
معاينة مركز الأورام
وشهدت الجولة وقوفاً ميدانياً لوفد البرنامج السعودي على المساحة المخصصة لإنشاء «المركز الوطني للأورام»، واستعراض المخططات الهندسية للمشروع الذي سيقوم البرنامج بإنشائه وتجهيزه، ليكون أول مركز تخصصي من نوعه في المحافظة، يهدف لإنهاء معاناة مرضى السرطان وتوفير أحدث سبل العلاج محلياً وفق معايير عالمية.
استدامة وديمومة
وفي ختام الجولة، أشاد الوفد السعودي بمستوى الانضباط والخدمات النوعية المقدمة، مؤكداً أن هذه الجهود تأتي إنفاذاً لتوجيهات القيادة الرشيدة لمساندة الشعب اليمني، عبر تطوير البنية التحتية الطبية بما يضمن ديمومة واستدامة الخدمات الصحية.
Based on the historical commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards Yemen, and extending the bridges of humanitarian and developmental aid provided by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen; a delegation from the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, headed by Ali Abdullah Al-Dosari, visited the Shabwa General Hospital in the city of Ataq, and reviewed the quality of the free medical services and the progress of work in this medical edifice, which is fully sponsored and operated by the program.
Appreciating the Saudi Role
Upon the delegation's arrival, they were received by the Director General of the Authority, Dr. Hussein Al-Tawil, along with a number of officials from the governorate. The delegation listened to a detailed explanation about the operational mechanisms of the hospital and the qualitative leap it has achieved in providing healthcare to the people of Shabwa and the neighboring governorates.
For his part, Al-Tawil expressed his deep appreciation for the generous support provided by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, confirming that the Saudi program has become the "most prominent developmental artery" in the governorate.
He praised the tangible results that have positively impacted the lives of thousands of beneficiaries.
Inspection of the Oncology Center
During the tour, the Saudi program delegation conducted a field visit to the area designated for the establishment of the "National Oncology Center," and reviewed the architectural plans for the project that the program will build and equip, making it the first specialized center of its kind in the governorate, aimed at alleviating the suffering of cancer patients and providing the latest treatment methods locally according to international standards.
Sustainability and Continuity
At the conclusion of the tour, the Saudi delegation praised the level of discipline and the quality of services provided, affirming that these efforts come in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership to support the Yemeni people, through the development of medical infrastructure to ensure the sustainability and continuity of health services.
