على وقع الانفجارات العنيفة التي تشهدها محافظة أصفهان وجزيرة كيش الإيرانية، أقر الجيش الإيراني مساء أمس (الإثنين) بمقتل أربعة ضباط من القوات البرية خلال محاولة عرقلة عملية إنقاذ الطيارين الأمريكيين جنوب محافظة أصفهان.
ونقلت وكالة أنباء «فارس» الإيرانية عن بيان للجيش، أن الضباط كانوا ضمن فرق الدفاع السريع لحماية سماء إيران في منطقة مهيار جنوب أصفهان، موضحة أن من بين القتلى قائد كلية الدفاع بمركز تدريب المدفعية والصواريخ التابع للجيش العميد مسعود زارع، و3 ضباط آخرين، كان أحدهم برتبة عقيد، وآخر برتبة مقدم، والثالث رقيب.
جاء البيان بعد ساعات من المؤتمر الصحفي الذي عقده ترمب ووزير حربه لاستعراض عملية إنقاذ الطيارين الأمريكيين اللذين سقطت طائرتهما في أصفهان بإيران، وأكد الجيش الإيراني أن الضباط تواجدوا صباح الأحد في الوقت المناسب لمواجهة مباشرة مع طائرات مقاتلة ومروحيات وطائرات مسيّرة مسلحة وطائرات دعم تابعة للأمريكيين في منطقة مهيار بمحافظة أصفهان، وأطلقوا النار على هذه الأهداف الجوية.
وأضاف البيان: «وبعد أن أصاب صاروخ محمول على الكتف إحدى طائرات العدو، تعرضوا لهجوم من طائرات معادية أخرى وقتلوا».
وكان ترمب قد قال: «كانت القوات العسكرية الإيرانية تبحث عنه بكثافة وبأعداد كبيرة، وكانت على وشك الوصول إليه، إنه عقيد يحظى باحترام كبير»، موضحاً أن عملية إنقاذ الطيار الأمريكي الثاني المصاب نادراً ما يتم تنفيذها نظراً للمخاطر التي تهدد الأفراد والمعدات.
من جهة أخرى، تشهد أصفهان قصفاً عنيفاً، وبحسب وسائل إعلام إيرانية فإن القصف استهدف مطار كاشان وأن هناك أضراراً جراء استهداف المطار، موضحة أن القصف استهدف أيضاً مستودع ذخيرة جنوب أصفهان، كما سُمعت انفجارات عنيفة في مناطق متفرقة من المحافظة، بينها مدينة نجف آباد.
وأشارت إلى أنه سُمع دوي انفجارات في جزيرة كيش، دون الكشف عن طبيعة الأهداف أو حجم الخسائر.
في المقابل، ذكرت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية أنه تم إطلاق صافرات الإنذار في شمال إسرائيل، عقب رصد إطلاق صواريخ، في مؤشر على تصعيد متبادل بين الجانبين.
وأفادت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية، بتفعيل صافرات الإنذار في مستوطنة «مسجاف عام» في الجليل الأعلى للتحذير من إطلاق صواريخ من إيران.
Amid the violent explosions occurring in Isfahan province and the Iranian island of Kish, the Iranian army acknowledged last night (Monday) the death of four officers from the ground forces during an attempt to obstruct the rescue operation of American pilots south of Isfahan province.
The Iranian news agency "Fars" reported in a statement from the army that the officers were part of the rapid defense teams protecting Iran's airspace in the Mahyar area south of Isfahan, noting that among the dead was the commander of the Defense College at the artillery and missile training center of the army, Brigadier General Masoud Zare, along with three other officers, one of whom held the rank of colonel, another the rank of lieutenant colonel, and the third a sergeant.
The statement came hours after the press conference held by Trump and his Secretary of Defense to showcase the rescue operation of the American pilots whose plane had crashed in Isfahan, Iran. The Iranian army confirmed that the officers were present on Sunday morning at the right time for a direct confrontation with fighter jets, helicopters, armed drones, and support aircraft belonging to the Americans in the Mahyar area of Isfahan province, and they opened fire on these aerial targets.
The statement added: "After a shoulder-fired missile hit one of the enemy's aircraft, they were attacked by other hostile planes and killed."
Trump had stated: "The Iranian military forces were searching for him intensively and in large numbers, and they were about to reach him; he is a colonel who is highly respected," explaining that the rescue operation for the second injured American pilot is rarely carried out due to the risks posed to personnel and equipment.
On the other hand, Isfahan is witnessing heavy bombardment, and according to Iranian media, the bombardment targeted Kashan Airport, causing damage due to the targeting of the airport. It was also reported that the bombardment targeted an ammunition depot south of Isfahan, and loud explosions were heard in various areas of the province, including the city of Najafabad.
It was noted that explosions were heard on Kish Island, without revealing the nature of the targets or the extent of the losses.
In contrast, Israeli media reported that sirens were activated in northern Israel following the detection of missile launches, indicating a mutual escalation between the two sides.
