أفاد وزير خارجية سلطنة عُمان بدر البوسعيدي بأن بلاده تبذل جهوداً مكثفة لضمان المرور الآمن عبر مضيق هرمز.
وأضاف البوسعيدي في تدوينة على منصة «إكس»، اليوم (الإثنين)، أن الحرب تُسبب بالفعل مشكلات اقتصادية واسعة النطاق، معرباً عن خشيته أن تتفاقم هذه المشكلات إذا استمرت الحرب.
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، قال إن الولايات المتحدة وإيران أجرتا خلال اليومين الماضيين، محادثات جيدة ومثمرة للغاية بشأن التوصل إلى حل كامل وشامل للأعمال القتالية في الشرق الأوسط، وإنه أمر بوقف أي استهداف لمنشآت الطاقة في إيران لمدة 5 أيام، وذلك، قبل ساعات من انتهاء المهلة التي منحها لإيران لفتح مضيق هرمز.
وأضاف ترمب في منشور على «تروث سوشيال»، أنه بناءً على طبيعة ونبرة هذه المحادثات المعمّقة والمفصلة والبناءة، والتي ستستمر طوال الأسبوع، فقد وجّهتُ وزارة الحرب بتأجيل جميع الضربات العسكرية ضد محطات الطاقة والبنية التحتية للطاقة في إيران لمدة 5 أيام، وذلك رهناً بنجاح الاجتماعات والمناقشات الجارية.
وسبق أن أمهل ترمب إيران، السبت الماضي، 48 ساعة لفتح المضيق بشكل كامل، وهدد بأنه حال لم تمتثل للمهلة فإنه سيقوم بتوجيه ضربات عسكرية إلى محطات الطاقة.
من جهته، رد مجلس الدفاع الإيراني على تهديد ترمب، معتبراً أن السبيل الوحيد لعبور مضيق هرمز للدول غير المشاركة في الحرب هو التنسيق مع إيران، وهدد بـ«الرد بالمثل» وكذلك بـ«الرد الفوري والمدمر» على أي هجوم على محطات الكهرباء والبنية التحتية للطاقة.
وقال: «إن أي هجوم على سواحل إيران أو جزرها سيؤدي إلى قطع طرق الملاحة وخطوط الاتصالات، وزرع ألغام بحرية متفجرة».
وكان الحرس الثوري الإيراني لوح بأنه سيرد باستهداف محطات الكهرباء في إسرائيل، في حال الهجوم على محطات الكهرباء في إيران، وفق ما نقلت وسائل إعلام إيرانية.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Badr al-Busaidi, stated that his country is making intensive efforts to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
Al-Busaidi added in a post on the "X" platform today (Monday) that the war is indeed causing widespread economic problems, expressing his concern that these problems may worsen if the war continues.
U.S. President Donald Trump said that the United States and Iran had conducted very good and fruitful talks over the past two days regarding reaching a comprehensive and complete solution to the fighting in the Middle East, and that he ordered a halt to any targeting of energy facilities in Iran for 5 days, just hours before the deadline he set for Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump added in a post on "Truth Social" that based on the nature and tone of these in-depth, detailed, and constructive discussions, which will continue throughout the week, he directed the Department of Defense to postpone all military strikes against energy stations and energy infrastructure in Iran for 5 days, contingent upon the success of the ongoing meetings and discussions.
Previously, Trump had given Iran until last Saturday 48 hours to fully open the strait, threatening that if it did not comply with the deadline, he would direct military strikes against energy stations.
For its part, the Iranian Defense Council responded to Trump's threat, considering that the only way for countries not involved in the war to cross the Strait of Hormuz is to coordinate with Iran, and threatened to "respond in kind" as well as to "immediate and devastating retaliation" against any attack on electricity stations and energy infrastructure.
It stated: "Any attack on the coasts of Iran or its islands will lead to cutting off navigation routes and communication lines, and planting explosive sea mines."
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard had hinted that it would respond by targeting electricity stations in Israel if there were an attack on electricity stations in Iran, according to Iranian media reports.
