دان الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون الخليجي جاسم البديوي، الخميس، بأشد العبارات، استهداف إيران الخطير للمنشآت النفطية في السعودية والإمارات، ووصفها بـ«الإرهابية».
وقال الأمين العام، في بيان، إن اعتداءات إيران على مصفاة سامرف وميناء ينبع ومصفاة في جنوب الرياض بالمملكة العربية السعودية عمل إرهابي، وعدوان إجرامي سافر يجسد عدوانية النظام الإيراني، واستخفافه بأمن واستقرار المنطقة والعالم.
وأكد البديوي أن استهداف إيران للسعودية يعد انتهاكاً لكل القوانين والمواثيق الدولية ومبادئ حسن الجوار، مشدداً على تضامن المجلس مع السعودية، ودعمه لكافة الإجراءات التي تتخذها لحماية سيادتها وأمنها واستقرارها.
وأوضح الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون الخليجي أن أمن دول المجلس كلٌ لا يتجزأ.
في الوقت ذاته، دان الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون، بأشد العبارات، استهداف إيران الخطير لمنشأة حبشان للغاز وحقل باب بالإمارات، ووصفه بـ«التصعيد العدواني الخطير».
وأوضح أن استمرار هذه الأعمال العدائية التخريبية يعكس استخفافاً إيرانياً سافراً بالمواثيق الدولية ومبادئ حسن الجوار، ويؤكد مضيها في سياسات تصعيدية خطيرة من شأنها تعريض المصالح الاقتصادية الإقليمية والعالمية لمخاطر جسيمة.
وجدد البديوي تضامن مجلس التعاون الكامل والثابت مع الإمارات، ودعمه المطلق لكافة الإجراءات التي تتخذها لحماية سيادتها وأمنها واستقرارها، مؤكداً أن أمن دول المجلس كلٌ لا يتجزأ.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, condemned on Thursday, in the strongest terms, Iran's dangerous targeting of oil facilities in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, describing it as "terroristic."
Al-Budaiwi stated in a statement that Iran's attacks on the Samref refinery, the Yanbu port, and a refinery in southern Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are acts of terrorism and blatant criminal aggression that embody the hostility of the Iranian regime and its disregard for the security and stability of the region and the world.
He emphasized that Iran's targeting of Saudi Arabia constitutes a violation of all international laws, charters, and principles of good neighborliness, stressing the Council's solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken to protect its sovereignty, security, and stability.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council clarified that the security of the member states is indivisible.
At the same time, the Secretary-General of the Council strongly condemned Iran's dangerous targeting of the Habshan gas facility and the Bab field in the UAE, describing it as "a dangerous aggressive escalation."
He explained that the continuation of these destructive hostile acts reflects a blatant Iranian disregard for international charters and principles of good neighborliness, and confirms its pursuit of dangerous escalatory policies that could expose regional and global economic interests to grave risks.
Al-Budaiwi reiterated the Council's full and steadfast solidarity with the UAE, and its absolute support for all measures taken to protect its sovereignty, security, and stability, affirming that the security of the member states is indivisible.
