حذر وزير الخارجية المصري بدر عبدالعاطي، من التداعيات الخطيرة لاستمرار دائرة العنف واتساع نطاق الصراع فى الشرق الاوسط، مشيراً إلى أهمية تضافر الجهود الإقليمية والدولية لخفض التصعيد، مشيراً إلى أن استمرار التصعيد العسكري يهدد السلم والأمن الإقليميين والدوليين.
وخلال اتصال هاتفي مع نظيره الروسي سيرجي لافروف، شدد عبدالعاطي على أهمية تكثيف التنسيق الإقليمي والدولي، لاحتواء الصراع ومنع انزلاق المنطقة إلى مزيد من التوتر وعدم الاستقرار، مؤكداً ضرورة تغليب مسارات التهدئة والدبلوماسية والحوار، والعمل بشكل عاجل للحيلولة دون انزلاق الإقليم نحو مواجهات أوسع قد تنعكس تداعياتها السلبية على أمن واستقرار المنطقة بأسرها.
وبحسب بيان للخارجية المصرية، جاء الاتصال في إطار التشاور والتنسيق المستمر بين البلدين إزاء التطورات المتسارعة التي تشهدها المنطقة والجهود الرامية إلى خفض التصعيد والدفع نحو التهدئة.
وجدد الوزير عبدالعاطي التأكيد على ضرورة تضافر الجهود للعمل على تغليب الحلول السياسية وتسوية النزاعات عبر الحوار والوسائل الدبلوماسية.
وشهد الاتصال تطرق الوزيرين إلى مشروع القرار المطروح بمجلس الأمن بالأمم المتحدة الذى يتناول التطورات المتسارعة بالمنطقة.
وعلى صعيد آخر، تناول الوزيران تطورات الأزمة الأوكرانية، حيث جدد الوزير عبدالعاطي التأكيد على موقف مصر الثابت الداعي إلى ضرورة مواصلة الجهود السياسية الرامية إلى التوصل لتسويات سلمية للأزمات عبر الحوار والوسائل الدبلوماسية، بما يحفظ الأمن والاستقرار الاقليمي والدولي.
واتفق الوزيران خلال الاتصال على أهمية مواصلة استمرار التشاور والتنسيق بين البلدين خلال المرحلة القادمة بما يسهم في دعم جهود التهدئة وتعزيز الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي والدولي.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel Aty, warned of the serious repercussions of the ongoing cycle of violence and the widening scope of conflict in the Middle East, emphasizing the importance of regional and international efforts to de-escalate tensions. He noted that the continuation of military escalation threatens regional and international peace and security.
During a phone call with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, Abdel Aty stressed the importance of intensifying regional and international coordination to contain the conflict and prevent the region from slipping into further tension and instability. He affirmed the necessity of prioritizing paths of de-escalation, diplomacy, and dialogue, and working urgently to prevent the region from sliding into broader confrontations that could have negative repercussions on the security and stability of the entire area.
According to a statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, the call was part of ongoing consultations and coordination between the two countries regarding the rapid developments in the region and efforts aimed at de-escalation and pushing towards calm.
Minister Abdel Aty reiterated the need for joint efforts to prioritize political solutions and resolve conflicts through dialogue and diplomatic means.
The call also saw the two ministers discussing the draft resolution proposed in the UN Security Council addressing the rapid developments in the region.
On another note, the ministers addressed the developments in the Ukrainian crisis, where Minister Abdel Aty reaffirmed Egypt's steadfast position calling for the continuation of political efforts aimed at reaching peaceful settlements to crises through dialogue and diplomatic means, in order to preserve regional and international security and stability.
The two ministers agreed during the call on the importance of continuing consultations and coordination between the two countries in the upcoming phase, which contributes to supporting de-escalation efforts and enhancing regional and international security and stability.
