ثمن مدير عام مكتب الصحة والسكان بمحافظة أرخبيل سقطرى الدكتور عيسى الشنقبي المواقف الإنسانية الثابتة والدعم السخي الذي تقدمه المملكة العربية السعودية، بتوجيهات من خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، وولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، لتعزيز القطاع الصحي في الأرخبيل، مؤكداً أن هذه التدخلات جاءت في وقت قياسي لتلبي الاحتياجات الملحة للمواطنين.
استجابة عاجلة وتجهيزات متكاملة
وأوضح الدكتور الشنقبي، في تصريح خاص إلى «عكاظ»، أن التنسيق المستمر بين السلطة المحلية والبرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن، وبمتابعة حثيثة من سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى اليمن محمد آل جابر، أثمر عن توفير ميزانية تشغيلية وأدوية ومستلزمات طبية لمستشفى سقطرى بشكل مجاني بالكامل، إضافة إلى دعم الخدمات اللوجستية كمنظومة الكهرباء، مما أسهم في استمرارية العمل بكفاءة عالية.
توسيع خارطة الخدمات
وكشف مدير صحة سقطرى توسع نطاق التدخلات السعودية ليشمل مديريات ومناطق نائية، قائلاً: «هناك استجابة ملموسة من البرنامج السعودي في مستشفيي قلنسية ونوجد، وهو ما خفف الضغط بشكل كبير عن مستشفيات المدينة، كما نبشر الأهالي ببدء الدراسات الفنية لترميم وتشغيل مستشفى 22 مايو من قبل البرنامج السعودي، ليكون منشأة صحية محورية تخدم الأرخبيل».
مجمع الملك سلمان نقلة نوعية
وأشار الشنقبي إلى أن سقطرى تترقب إنجاز مجمع الملك سلمان الطبي، الذي يجاور جامع الملك سلمان الجاري تجهيزه، مؤكداً أن هذا المجمع سيمثل نقلة نوعية فريدة في الخدمات الصحية، وسيكون على غرار المدينة الطبية في محافظة المهرة، ليصبح صرحاً طبياً متكاملاً يخدم كافة أبناء أرخبيل سقطرى.
بصمات إنسانية لا تنقطع
واختتم الدكتور الشنقبي تصريحه بالإشادة بالدور الريادي للمستشفى السعودي الميداني، مؤكداً أن بصمات المملكة ليست غريبة على سقطرى، فقد شملت تجهيز مركزي «عمدهن» و«نوجد» وغيرها من المرافق الحيوية.
وأعرب الشنقبي عن شكره وتقديره لقيادة المملكة العربية السعودية على هذا الدعم الإنساني النبيل، مبدياً تطلعه لمزيد من التعاون لتعزيز استدامة الخدمات الصحية في الأرخبيل.
The Director General of the Health and Population Office in Socotra Archipelago, Dr. Issa Al-Shanqabi, praised the steadfast humanitarian positions and generous support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, to enhance the health sector in the archipelago, affirming that these interventions came at a critical time to meet the urgent needs of the citizens.
Urgent Response and Comprehensive Preparations
Dr. Al-Shanqabi explained, in a special statement to "Okaz," that the ongoing coordination between the local authority and the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, with close follow-up from the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Yemen, Mohammed Al-Jaber, has resulted in the provision of operational budgets, medicines, and medical supplies for Socotra Hospital completely free of charge, in addition to supporting logistical services such as the electricity system, which contributed to the continuity of work with high efficiency.
Expanding the Map of Services
The Director of Health in Socotra revealed the expansion of Saudi interventions to include remote districts and areas, stating: "There is a tangible response from the Saudi program in the hospitals of Qalansiyah and Nujd, which has significantly alleviated the pressure on the city’s hospitals. We also inform the residents that technical studies have begun for the restoration and operation of the May 22 Hospital by the Saudi program, to become a pivotal health facility serving the archipelago."
The King Salman Complex: A Qualitative Leap
Dr. Al-Shanqabi pointed out that Socotra is anticipating the completion of the King Salman Medical Complex, which is adjacent to the King Salman Mosque currently being prepared, affirming that this complex will represent a unique qualitative leap in health services and will be similar to the medical city in Al-Mahrah Governorate, becoming a comprehensive medical edifice serving all the people of Socotra Archipelago.
Uninterrupted Humanitarian Imprints
Dr. Al-Shanqabi concluded his statement by praising the pioneering role of the Saudi field hospital, affirming that the Kingdom's imprints are not strange to Socotra, as they have included the preparation of the "Amadhen" and "Nujd" centers and other vital facilities.
He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this noble humanitarian support, expressing his hope for further cooperation to enhance the sustainability of health services in the archipelago.
