وصلت اليوم (الثلاثاء)، أول رحلة منذ 11 عاماً للخطوط الجوية اليمنية إلى محافظة سقطرى قادمة من مطار الملك عبدالعزيز الدولي بمدينة جدة.
وشهدت «عكاظ» لحظة استقبال الرحلة، إذ جرى رش الطائرة بالمياه احتفالاً بوصولها، كما رافق الوصول اصطفاف عدد من المسؤولين في المحافظة، ومدير مكتب البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وأعمار اليمن في المحافظة، وعدد من المواطنين بينهم فتيات يحملن الورود.
وتحول الاستقبال إلى كرنفال شارك فيه عدد من الفرق الفنية والمواطنين، رافعين علم السعودية فرحاً واعتزازاً بما تقدمه المملكة من دعم سخي أسفر عن عودة الكهرباء، وانخفاض سعر النفط، وعودة جميع الخدمات، وتنفيذ عدد من المشاريع بينها مستشفيات سقطرى، فضلاً عن عودة السياحة التي تمثل رافداً قوياً لاقتصاد الأرخبيل ودعماً مباشراً للأسر السقطرية التي تعتمد على السياحة كمصدر دخل لها.
وثمّن وكلاء محافظة سقطرى الدعم المقدم من المملكة العربية السعودية لمحافظتهم.
فيما هنأ السفير السعودي لدى اليمن المشرف على البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن محمد آل جابر، محافظ سقطرى رافت النقيلي بهذه المناسبة قائلاً: «نهنئكم، أخي رأفت، ونبارك لأشقائنا في محافظة سقطرى اليمنية تدشين أول رحلة جوية مباشرة من جدة إلى سقطرى عبر الخطوط الجوية اليمنية، في خطوة تاريخية تُعد نقلة نوعية في تعزيز سهولة الوصول للسكان والسياح والمعتمرين والحجاج ورجال الأعمال، وتسهم في دعم الحركة الاقتصادية والسياحية، وتفتح آفاقاً واسعة من الخير والتنمية المستدامة».
من جهة أخرى كتب محافظ سقطرى رأفت النقيلي على حسابه في منصة «X»: «بكل معاني وعبارات الترحيب والاعتزاز، تستقبل محافظة أرخبيل سقطرى اليوم أول رحلة جوية قادمة من مطار الملك عبدالعزيز الدولي بمدينة جدة، في محطة تاريخية تجسّد انفتاح سقطرى على محيطها الإقليمي والدولي، وتعزّز حضورها على خريطة النقل الجوي».
وستنشر «عكاظ» غداً تقريراً موسعاً عن الحفل وما صاحبه من فرحة كبيرة.
Today (Tuesday), the first flight in 11 years of Yemenia Airlines arrived in Socotra Governorate from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
The moment of the flight's arrival was witnessed by "Okaz," where the plane was showered with water in celebration of its arrival. The reception was accompanied by a lineup of several officials in the governorate, the director of the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen in the governorate, and a number of citizens, including girls carrying flowers.
The reception turned into a carnival with the participation of several artistic groups and citizens, raising the Saudi flag in joy and pride for the generous support provided by the Kingdom, which resulted in the return of electricity, a decrease in oil prices, the resumption of all services, and the implementation of several projects, including Socotra hospitals, in addition to the return of tourism, which represents a strong pillar for the archipelago's economy and direct support for Socotri families who rely on tourism as a source of income.
Deputies of Socotra Governorate praised the support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to their governorate.
Meanwhile, the Saudi ambassador to Yemen, who oversees the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, Mohammed Al-Jaber, congratulated Socotra Governor Raafat Al-Naqeeli on this occasion, saying: “We congratulate you, my brother Raafat, and we celebrate with our brothers in Socotra Governorate the launch of the first direct flight from Jeddah to Socotra via Yemenia Airlines, in a historic step that represents a qualitative leap in enhancing accessibility for residents, tourists, pilgrims, and businessmen, contributing to the support of the economic and tourism movement, and opening wide horizons for goodness and sustainable development.”
On another note, Socotra Governor Raafat Al-Naqeeli wrote on his account on the "X" platform: “With all meanings and expressions of welcome and pride, the Socotra Archipelago Governorate receives today the first flight coming from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, in a historical milestone that embodies Socotra's openness to its regional and international surroundings, and enhances its presence on the air transport map.”
“Okaz” will publish a comprehensive report tomorrow about the celebration and the accompanying great joy.
