كشفت مصادر إسرائيلية أن رئيس الوزراء بنيامين نتنياهو، والمبعوث الأمريكي توم برّاك، توصلا إلى تفاهمات بشأن سورية.
حصر النشاط العسكري
ونقلت قناة i24 الإسرائيلية، اليوم الثلاثاء، عن المصادر تأكيدها أن إسرائيل والولايات المتحدة توصلتا إلى تفاهمات تتعلق باستمرار الرغبة الإسرائيلية في التحرك داخل سورية ضد التهديدات، ومواصلة المفاوضات مع سورية حول الاتفاق الأمني. وأفصح مصدر إسرائيلي أن الولايات المتحدة طلبت من إسرائيل حصر نشاطها العسكري في سورية بالحد الأدنى، داعية إلى العودة الجادة للمفاوضات الأمنية مع دمشق.
وأضاف المصدر أن واشنطن شددت في رسائلها الأخيرة إلى تل أبيب على ضرورة تفادي أي تصعيد عسكري من شأنه زعزعة الاستقرار في سورية، في ظل الجهود الأمريكية الرامية إلى دفع مسار تفاهمات أمنية جديدة بين الجانبين.
خطوط حمراء
وحسب وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية، فإن المبعوث الأمريكي وضع «خطوطاً حمراء» واضحة للعمليات الإسرائيلية تجاه سورية، مؤكداً أن واشنطن تدعم الحكومة السورية وترفض أي عمل من شأنه الإسهام في زعزعة استقرار البلاد، بحسب ما نقلت وكالة «أسوشيتيد برس».
ووفق الإعلام الإسرائيلي، تضمنت الرسالة الأمريكية أن إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترمب ترى أن الضربات الإسرائيلية العابرة للحدود تقوّض جهود واشنطن لدعم حكومة دمشق في تثبيت الاستقرار، وتضعف المساعي الرامية للتوصل إلى تفاهم أمني جديد بين سورية وإسرائيل، وهو ما قالت الإدارة الأمريكية إنها ترفضه وتحذر من تكراره.
تحديات هائلة
من جانبها، قالت ممثلة السياسة الخارجية في الاتحاد الأوروبي كايا كالاس، إن وزراء التكتل الأوروبي ناقشوا الوضع في سورية، وكيفية إصلاح قطاعي الأمن والتجارة، وشددت على أن سورية مازالت تواجه تحديات هائلة.
وأضافت كالاس أن الاتحاد الأوروبي كان أول جهة ترفع العقوبات للمساعدة في إعادة بناء البلاد، غير أن رفع العقوبات وحده لا يجلب الازدهار الاقتصادي، فالمستثمرون بحاجة إلى الثقة في النظام القانوني، وبحاجة إلى التأكد من أن الوضع مستقر ولن يخرج عن السيطرة.

Limiting Military Activity
The Israeli channel i24 reported today, Tuesday, that sources confirmed that Israel and the United States have reached understandings concerning Israel's continued desire to operate within Syria against threats, and to continue negotiations with Syria regarding the security agreement. An Israeli source disclosed that the United States requested Israel to limit its military activity in Syria to a minimum, calling for a serious return to security negotiations with Damascus.
The source added that Washington emphasized in its recent messages to Tel Aviv the necessity of avoiding any military escalation that could destabilize Syria, amid U.S. efforts to advance a new framework for security understandings between the two sides.
Red Lines
According to Israeli media, the U.S. envoy set clear "red lines" for Israeli operations toward Syria, affirming that Washington supports the Syrian government and rejects any actions that could contribute to destabilizing the country, as reported by the Associated Press.
According to Israeli media, the American message included that the Trump administration views cross-border Israeli strikes as undermining Washington's efforts to support the Damascus government in stabilizing the situation, and weakening efforts aimed at reaching a new security understanding between Syria and Israel, which the U.S. administration stated it rejects and warns against repeating.
Enormous Challenges
For her part, the European Union's foreign policy representative, Kaja Kallas, stated that the bloc's ministers discussed the situation in Syria and how to reform the security and trade sectors, stressing that Syria still faces enormous challenges.
Kallas added that the European Union was the first entity to lift sanctions to help rebuild the country, but that lifting sanctions alone does not bring economic prosperity, as investors need confidence in the legal system and need to ensure that the situation is stable and will not spiral out of control.
