رحيل شيخ القراء بالمسجد النبوي بشير صديق

One of the scholars of the city, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Siddiq, passed away, may Allah have mercy on him, at the age of nearly ninety. He was prayed upon at Maghrib yesterday (Wednesday) at the Prophet's Mosque and was buried in the Baqi' Al-Gharqad cemetery in Medina.

The deceased was a professor of the Holy Quran and its recitations at the Prophet's Mosque, having spent more than sixty years teaching students. During this time, countless students learned from him, among whom are prominent disciples such as Sheikh Muhammad Ayoub, Sheikh Ali Jaber, Sheikh Muhammad Al-Shanqeeti, Sheikh Al-Budair, and Sheikh Abdul Mohsen Al-Qasim.
